Title: Has anyone else ever heard of Alex Jones being involved with the CIA?
Post by: Raineyrocks on September 04, 2007, 11:12 AM NHFT
I ran across a website all about Alex Jones being involved with the CIA and the Jesuit Order.  I don't understand much about the Jesuit order but in this website it has this guy, (hold on I'll get his name), Thomas Richards, talking about all of the connections Alex has to this stuff. Here it is:  http://www.spirituallysmart.com/Jones-CIA.htm

I know Alex Jones can hype some things and the one thing I did/do think is strange it that when someone calls and they say they have possible solutions to something, Alex will cut them off and say he's got to take the next call.  I watched a video about what Alex was saying before Y2K or on New Years Eve 1999 before I even heard of him and he was saying that missiles were being launched.  Well no missiles were ever launched as far as I know, right?

Now I am so confused!  :help:  Is there really a credible person or new source?  Is Alex credible and this guy Thomas Richards a nut?
The one thing about his site, (Thomas Richards), it is based a lot on Christianity and the bible so is he being one sided? His main site is www.spirituallysmart.com.  I just don't know and now what I thought I was learning may be all crap. :-\

What does that mean?  Sorry I know what NWO is but not FUD. :)

Sorry...

Fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) is a tactic of rhetoric used in sales, marketing and public relations.[1][2] FUD is generally a strategic attempt to influence public perception by disseminating negative (and vague) information. An individual firm, for example, might use FUD to invite unfavorable opinions and speculation about a competitor's product; to increase the general estimation of switching costs among current customers; or to maintain leverage over a current business partner who could potentially become a rival.

Thanks! :)  Who in your opinion is doing the FUDDING?  Alex or this other guy Thomas?  I always liked Alex Jones but after hearing his show regarding Y2K spewing false info I just don't know anymore.  Usually when Alex Jones talks about something I can look it up and it's factual even though I do still think it's weird how he cuts people off when they mention possible solutions. :-\

Don't disregard the possibility that they're both nuts and that they're both FUDing. I'm not saying they are. I have no idea. I've only listened to Alex once and that was because he was interviewing Ron Paul.

That's a possibility too, thanks! :)

:biglaugh:  This is hilarious!  Let's apply the Conspiracy Theory Believer's Handy-Dandy Book on Logic for this one.

If there is proof of this CIA-Jones connection, then the proof is present, and the case is proved!  If there is no proof of this CIA-Jones connection, then there was OBVIOUSLY a cover-up, and therefore the case is proved!

Conspiracists using conspiracy theory logical fallacies in order to disprove the 'accuracy' or 'allegiance' of another conspiracy theorist usually applying the same tactics?

Somehow I get the feeling of being an adult looking at two kids tossing sand at each other in the sandbox.

he seems to cite stuff pretty well, in fact a lot of his evidence is MSM news which was buried etc or declassified documents.

However, I think some of the conspiracies he has interest in are a little far out there (Specifically relating to freemasons etc) though his Bohemian Grove footage is undeniably powerful people doing some weird shit (and the Bohemian Grove has released pictures of people there etc)

I do think he is undeniably entertaining.

I subsribe to his website just to see the interviews. There is a lot of interesting stuff on there. Half of it is pure entertainment and the other half could hold some valid points. If one weeds through all the bs you can learn things that arent otherwise available through other outlets. I also read a lot of white power websites, black power websites, groups that want to make the Southwestern US into Mexico, etc. The more you read the more you learn even if you completely disagree with their opinions. Alex Jones being a CIA plant? Wouldnt surprise me in the least. Nothing surprises me anymore. Hell my wife could be a CIA plant  :o

I don't know about him being involved with the C.I.A. but I consider Alex to often be a source of misinformation at best, disinformation at worst. Keep in mind that in order for disinformation to be effective is has to be 95% truth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disinformation

Aside from his abrasive and confrontational communication style, I have serious issues with his journalistic integrity. Any serious journalist will issue retractions and corrections when a story that they have published has been proven to have errors; I have never seen Alex do this, despite his Hoover vacuum style of sucking and printing. Case in point; he published a report back in January 2006 that Ariel Sharon has died. The article is still, to this date on his site http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/january2006/060106sharondies.htm

There are far more credible and sober sources of news and information in existence. I can post a few here, if you like.

CIA? No. I had a new "friend" tell me Alex Jones was put there to pass partial truths and he gave me a couple of Jesuit websites. New "friend" is on permanent ignore. I can make up my own mind. Alex Jones is a great researcher and has a good memory for facts. He does make connections though that the "perps" haven't even made. He is good to listen to because he catches things at their planning or inception. His roaring like a lion crap I can do without. I take him with a grain of salt but I am also getting ready for the inevitable meltdown.

One of the arguments that that Thomas guy had was that if Alex was legit he'd be shut down by now.  I disagree with him on that because there are more alternative talk shows than the Alex Jones show that haven't been shut down. I do agree that he sounds like a cuckoo sometimes which harms his credibility.   If he were someone like Martin Luther King ,we all saw what happened there, then it would be a different story because Martin Luther King was powerful , credible, and influential on the public.
I do think things are going to get crazy too, what kinds of things are you doing to prepare?  If you want to tell me, that is, I do understand maybe listing every preparation could be not a good idea. :)

I was actually being serious with the Homeland Stupidity suggestion.  Error runs a great site.  I would suggest NOT using printed articles as TP, because you could get paper cuts, which I imagine hurt real bad "down there."

I've been on Error's site, it looks really good but it seems overwhelming sometimes and confusing to me.  :BangHead:  I'm pretty sure Error won't take offense to that remark because I get easily confused by lots of things.
