I already have one client for this. The idea is to sell firewood for delivery next year.
You tell me how much you want to buy, we work out the price, and I cut, split, and store it. Next year it will be properly seasoned and I deliver it.
Anybody want a cord or two?
How far away will you deliver?

Ron are you clear cutting Little Minnesota?
Not Little Minnesota >:D
I do have lots of dead trees that need removal, and a few live ones that can season for a while.

Well, that's negotiable. Once I have a trailer, I will be able to do more hauling. It doesn't seem like it would be worth delivering to you since there's a lot of trees there, but if the price is right...
I was pretty much assuming that delivery to as far as Manchester/Concord would be reasonable.
The wood you sold me burns great Ron! Very dry and easy to start.
Alec
gotta keep those city slickers warm :)
Are you still accepting orders for next year? Do you have any available for immediate delivery? Will you consider orders for half a cord?

Sure.

What I have that is seasoned is basically just enough for us here and Alec's. I can provide unseasoned in a short time frame, but that's not as good.

Sure.
What I was planning on doing is laying out areas to stack wood for seasoning. I can spend time over the winter into spring cutting and stacking.
Thanks for the info. I probably need seasoned wood because we'll be burning this in a wood stove. I heard it's much better for the stove and chimney to use seasoned. I'll get back to you on the 1/2 cord order for next year. I don't want to commit to something if I'm not positive that I can follow through. Thanks!!
Ron,
I'll probably sign up for a cord for next year.
Now I just need to find a 1/2 cord for this year. Any recommendations?

Any size restrictions?
I know some stoves require logs less than 16" or so.
I might have half a cord available in the Manchester area if you're interested. Let me know.
I found some for this winter.

I found some for this winter.
Excellent.
I probably could have supplied you, but the large pile is all under a bunch of snow. The amount of labor involved in extricating it would be significant.
We might need a bunch of wood this summer for building. I am not sure if it would be worth it for you to come over to Grafton.
How much would you charge for cords brought to Grafton ... it could be green ... it could be all pine ... We would need 18"

By this summer I should have a trailer, and I was intending to come up occasionally to help again anyway. Still, it might be cheaper to get it locally. I'm thinking I need to set my prices in silver, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Don't you have more trees needing to come down? I have a chainsaw >:D
we might be able to use all the trees that are not suitable for beams :)
Ron,
I'm going to be looking for 2 cords for winter. Up to 22" in length.

Ron don't forget I need some wood for Porc Fest.

Excellent! I have a bunch that was too long for Alec's stoves.
So far it looks like I'll need to have 8 cords! (plus any sales for PorcFest and/or Burning Porc - Thanks Kate)
excellent
