Rochester police close street where blood-stained car was
ROCHESTER ? A car with blood on the driver?s seat, a shattered back window and flat tires was crammed between two police cruisers early Wednesday on a main street that was blocked to traffic.
Police declined to comment, but callers to area radio stations and passers-by said a car chase ended on South Main Street about 1 a.m., and that police shot the driver.
The car had Massachusetts plates. One of the cruisers was from Barrington. State police were on the scene, as well as police from Rochester and Barrington.

Sounds like Barrington (bordering town) cop shot him. Still not sure why. It was at the end of a high-speed chase that started in Amesbury, MA and ended in Rochester.
Maybe the cop had had enough of tax-happy nutters coming in from MA. Can you blame him?
Update (http://www.thewmurchannel.com/news/4956754/detail.html) on this guy.
It seems he walked out of the Maine hospital he was in and disappeared for a while. They found him back in Mass. in a Methuen hospital.
Guess he got homesick?
You'd think that by now someone would have given a reason for why he was chased?
