Title: "Mass list" of items wanted
Post by: Dave Ridley on August 22, 2009, 12:09 AM NHFT
Cynthia had a cool idea that we should all post lists in one place....of more or less everything we might want to buy from other activists.  And everything we have for sale.   What are *you* looking to buy and sell?   Once there are a few big entries here it will probably be necessary to keyword search both.

Here's my "big list" of things I buy from time to time, which I'd rather buy from folks on this forum if practical.  I can leave items in Manchester or Grafton for pickup even if I"m out of town, and I can receive them in either location as well.

Wanted (sometimes):

mini-dv videocassettes
video dubbing services: vhs to .wmv file, Hi-8 and 8mm videotape to .wmv file
electricity splitters - the type of device that turns one prong into three. Am sometimes losing them.
enviro-friendly computer disposal options, battery disposal options
eggs
real honey (not clover)
canned milk
cereal
peanuts
t-shirts
belts size 32. brown or black.  cd-r's  cd-rw's, car repair and service including oil change
oil  10w-30
cd-r's
mosquito tent
cheap i-pod
cd-rw's
gadsden flags
tissue paper
paper towells
soap
computer (laptop)
computer games \
ham radio services
computer joystick
storage
car cover
tennis shoes size 7.5 - 9 used may be ok if washable
watches.  every year or so i need a new one.
sewing, clothing repair.  Right now I need some things fixed that have down in them so it has triggered allergy issues for some....
v book - i would like to rent a copy to read.
network cables various lengths.
faraday cages
plastic containers
electronic music cd's

For sale:  (both items and services.  Some may not be immediately available or may become unavailable):

wookiee costume rental
gadsden flags
Ads on the Ridley Report: http://RidleyReport.com/Ad
News releases / PR services:  http://RidleyReport.com/PR
flag poles to carry around at protests
wheat and mung beans - I have some extra. Both are survival items good for sprouting.  Mung beans are good for cheap stir fry.
wool socks
protest signs.  These are roughly 2 x 3 and are rigid posterboard.  2 bucks each....30 percent less than wal-mart last I checked.
Tampons - Wal Mart store brand different sizes
tripid rental - I have a good video tripod that kicks your tripod's ass
camera - Sometimes I can rent out a camera. I have a still cam pocket sized and one min-DV cam that is working as of 8/09
unskilled labor
courier / transport
postcards
viewmaster reels
viewmasters

video archive - 40 hours of free staters in action, New Hampshire scenery, various politicians.  Downloading from youtube is free obviously but I can provide higher quality files on CD, possibly on DVD.  Also may at some point be able to rent out the original cassettes or copies for high quality dubbing.

For Sale Continued:
YouTube channel enhancement - I can produce lo-budget vids for whatever you're selling on your channel, edit your video, create/improve channel, consult.  Right now I just charge ten bucks an hour.
Activism - Not sure if paid activism is ever going to be our thing but if by chance someone wants that I'm openminded.
TV series on DVD: battlestar galactica, Babylon 5 in its entirity.  Open to renting them out.
concussion alarms from radio shack.  They mount on windows
picture of mountains by Ansel Adams.  Framed but no glass or clear plastic. Looks fine but not sure this was how it was supposed to be set up.
general videoography
If you don't have a credit card I assume I could buy stuff on the net for you
small color tv set circa 1989
vhs vcr
precious metals (sometimes) Sometimes I have palladium, platinum, silver or gold...though usually not much.
I can probably leave things somewhere in Manchester for you to pick up

In addition to FRNs I will generally accept Euros, Swiss Francs, beer/liquor, ammo, liberty dollar certificates and precious metals.  I am open to various other alternate payment.  Hope you are too.

"real honey (not clover)" Can you clarify? Clover honey is just as real as any other type of honey(blackberry, alfalfa, maple etc.).

With most 'clover honey' in the stores, the bees have been fed high fructose corn syrup, and so the honey has high fructose corn syrup.

I have a few pairs of girls toddler size 3-5 (age 1.5-2.5years), maybe 6 shoes and some 18month-2T/clothes, the clothes and shoes may be in the same size range, basically all in that area. If you have a little girl, you know what I mean. I would be willing to ship that stuff to somebody who needed it for only the cost of shipping. Not sure exactly how I would prove that, maybe someone send me a list of what they wanted and a check/money order for what estimated shipping was, and then I include in the package the shipping receipt and any change or conversely amount owed note. It would be something to talk about at the minimum I'd say.  I have a lot of boxes, so I doubt that would come into play on the cost. If anyone's interested, let me know.

I am always looking for fresh food, raw milk, etc. I would actually just like to hire a personal shopper so I don't have to run around to five different places to get what I want. I also needs things for business, like good thread and notions. I like natural home-made body/beauty stuff. I have a daughter, so stuff that kids want, whether it is educational or entertaining is great.

I have a variety of things to offer and sell; I will make up a detailed list later. The idea is so that we can create searchable(so somewhat generic) terms.

There's a site designed to help people do baby item swaps. They used to advertise on Free Talk Live, so if they're not run by a pro-liberty person, they're at least involved at some level.

I have a laptop for sale.  On the cheap for people here or good friends of.

Dell D620/630 - it is a current model.  New it cost ridiculous money (1700) but I am selling for a mere 700.  If you're really nice maybe less.

I have a bunch of stuff posted at http://apps.facebook.com/marketplace/seller/14040055/  The prices are not firm, so feel free to make an offer.

I have one of those hemp/cotton FSP polo shirts in XL which is gently used that I'd like to sell or give to a friend.

I have a 10'x10' First-Up gazebo that has a broken spar.  If you have a broken gazebo, you could take one of the spars off that one and make this one almost like new.  I remember seeing what appeared to be a broken First-Up gazebo at Hoyt Farm.  I'd like to sell (cheap) or donate mine to a good cause.

I also have the tarp material for one of those 10'x20' portable car ports that I'd be willing to give to whomever may want it.

I have a portable 12VDC DVD player that has suffered some damage, but works if you tape it closed.  I'm willing to give that away.

I have lots of tools for sale.

I would sell my Valentine 1 radar detector (latest version in like new condition) and remote display for the right price.  Otherwise I will probably give it to my brother or one of my better friends.

I have lots of books.

I have a lot of contact paper, double sided foam tape, adhesive backed vinyl and a little adhesive backed reflective mylar.

I have a very heavy '14 gun' safe from Sentry with an electronic lock.

Once my lawyer takes care of the paperwork and the SPD releases my property, I should have a decent collection of firearms and ammo for sale, as well as firearm parts (like magazines, barrels, etc.)

Everything must go this month unless I have an arrangement with someone else who would act as a broker or something along those lines.  If you don't have the cash right now, I would probably accept payment in installments or shire hours for most of the stuff I'm selling.  I'll add more to this list as I find or remember it.
