This Saturday (April 17) in Peterborough's Town Square there will be a Green Expo from 9am - 4pm.
The Expo and Festival, held both indoors and outside the Peterborough Town House will feature various booths and exhibits. There will be farm animals, workshops, hybrid vehicles, solar cars, "green" food vendors and demonstrations.
Here's the lineup of demonstrations and workshops:
- 11am and 3pm: Sheepdog herding featuring Jack the Wonderdog
- 9am through 1pm: Free movie showings on the hour of "Walden: The Ballad of Thoreau"
- 10am: Dividing perennials workshop
- 12pm: Grassfed milk and meat workshop
- 1pm: Backyard pigs workshop
- 2pm: Agriculture in the Monadnock Region workshop and lecture
The public is invited to this free and friendly day of family fun amid Peterborough's historic buildings, museums, shops and eateries, and river parks. Parking is also free downtown.
