You can now ignore whole sections of this forum if you wish. Go into your profile, click on Ignore Boards Preference, and select which boards you wish to ignore. Poof! :)

So what boards will you be ignoring. Also, does this lead to ignorance?
:D
I noticed there is someone now ignoring me. I wonder who that might be? :-*
Ignoring NH Politics.
Actually I'm not ignoring any boards. Virtually everything here is much too interesting. I really want this on the FTL BBS! :)
Particular people, on the other hand, I may start ignoring in much larger numbers.
Did this feature go away?
I acquired an ignoree as well. Go figure?
Actually I was mistaken. It wasn't boards I wanted to ignore, but individual threads. Oh well.
And, anyone who replied to Frank...

But that was a long time ago! I was young! Incoherent! Unskilled in the ways of... whatever it was.
Actually, I don't really remember the last time I responded to Frank. It could have been last week. In any case, this was recent--within the past few days.
Make sure you meet Frank at the Liberty Forum... he really is a nice guy.
Eques you gonna be there?
Right now, I'm thinking of showing up during lunch on Saturday. I may or may not volunteer--not sure yet.

I will take that as a yes ;)

Yes! I will be there--the question is "to what extent!" ;D
I love this ignore board thingy .... no more politics.
I still want to ignore individual threads.
Is this an admin-only thing or something, because I still can't find it.
it would be in your profile
This is what I have in the sidebar when I click on 'Profile':

I've gone through all those sections (except for 'Delete this account') and haven't seen anything that says "Ignore Board."
In "Ignore User options," it doesn't allow me to put the name of the board in the Ignorelist.
I don't want to ignore any boards, but out of curiosity I also looked for the "Ignore Board" option. My results were just like James's: nothing found.
Kevin
Oh, I fixed it now. I was ignoring this board for a while cause it was irritating me.

I suppose now is the time to mention the SMF 1.1.2 security fix that some forum admin hasn't yet installed? :)
I guess I'll go back to ignoring this board. >:(
I'm just saying. I don't want to log in some morning and find something like this.

Or worse, government bureaucrats hacking the site. They do that from time to time.
Thanks, Kat. :)
This option is missing from my profile. It's not of a high priority, however.
Should be fixed now.
Double thanks, Kat. :)

I was under the impression that any threads started by someone you're ignoring would go away, like the three enraging-against-Mexican threads that started within the span of a few days by the same person. I was mistaken. :'(
Ya, bummer.
Ignore is my brother from St. Petersborough. Da :icon_pirat:

Jesus Marian Davies, please don't ever tease me like that.
N o M o r e P o l i t i c s
heaven.
O-K had to look the Davies thing up.
Is this the right one.http://www.traditioninaction.org/polemics/F_02_Davies1_Index.html (http://www.traditioninaction.org/polemics/F_02_Davies1_Index.html)
Personally, after Ratzinger became pope, I thought the church would invade France by the fall. (guess I was wrong.) ;D
The Ignore Board seems so useful...
So, since you can actually ignore certain posters and even entire sections of the forum, doesn't it make much more sense to suggest people use this to ignore political discussions instead of closing an entire section of this forum?

Russell was doing that. Then he decided to change things.
His property, his choice.
