Title: Nashua Board of Education recommends 38,000 raise
Post by: GT on March 30, 2005, 12:39 PM NHFT
NASHUA - After looking over superintendent salaries in similarly sized school districts outside the state, board of education member Jack Kelley said the district has been getting a bargain.

?Joe?s been underpaid,? Kelley said, referring to Superintendent Joseph Giuliano?s $112,000 salary.

Based on the recommendation of John Connolly, a representative from Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates, the board voted Monday night in favor of increasing the superintendent?s salary range to $150,000 to $175,000, a change that needs to be approved by the alderman before becoming official.

Why are we comparing pay scales in other states? These people are insane. Maybe they should compare saleries in a poorer area of the contry and cut his pay by 50 percent.

Better yet, fire him and see if the system colapses in his absence.  If it doesn't, thats OK.  If it does, thats OK too!
