Everytime I click on reply, home, or another post it takes me back to the sign in page. Is it just me or is this happening to everyone? I'm starting to hate the name raineyrocks, maybe I should have a name like I so that's all I have to type. Need some caffeine, be right back! ;D

It's just you. It means you failed to take everyone's advice to stop using IE. ;)
Actually it means you aren't accepting the cookies. You either accept the cookies or you log in every other page. :)

Teach me please, take me under your keyboard wing and be my mentor I beg of you! Can you show me how to accept cookies? I mean if someone asks me if I want a chocolate chip cookie I know how to do that but otherwise I'm lost. How do I stop using IE? :help:

The first step is admitting you have a problem. ;)
I was going to write something out, but this site (http://www.ncsacademy.com/faq/iecookies.cfm) already has it all written out, complete with pictures. :)

That's even easier. Get Firefox (http://getfirefox.com/).

P.S. Error, do I need cookies if I switch to Firefox?

Yes, you need cookies. That's how you stay logged into any web site, no matter whether it's this one or your bank or whatever.
My favorites are the soft and chewy oatmeal raisin cookies.
Big crunchy cookies with Chocolate and Macadamia nuts!
Error, when I went to download firefox, it asked me if I want to run it or save it, what do I do? If I save it under what file should I put it? Will firefox automatically give me cookies and take over internet explorer?
P.S. Lloyd and Error, I like raw chocolate chip cookie dough.

Errr... you want to run it. :) Then later on it will ask you if you want it to be your "default browser," and you say yes. :)

Errr... okay, gosh you can be so condescending sometimes! Lighten up and thank you very much! ;D
Oh sorry, I'm half asleep and thinking about cookie dough! and trying to get these last few bits of things into boxes.

It's fine Error, I like you the way you are even if there's some sarcasm sometimes it's cute! I lost my favorites but I have Firefox now thanks to you!
You like cookie dough? Moving is a pain! Thanks again Error! :D :D

You can get them back, I think. Hit Organize Bookmarks, and then File > Import.
This is happening to me, too. It is very difficult to post or reply when I get logged off repeatedly. Hmmm...

I just followed Error's links and downloaded Firefox and it's working great for me. I was using internet explorer before but now I don't even have to log in when I click on nhfree.com.

Why should I change? That's not gonna happen! :)

I don't know but that exact same thing was happening to me this morning too. Error said I needed cookies and he has a link on how to check that out in his post on this thread. :)
My computer's settings have not changed. Something on the forum has changed.

Kat decided to ignore this board again and not change anything on the forum. :)
As for your computer's settings not changing, that doesn't mean anything on Windows, which will change its own settings just to generate support calls.
jeez......i have not had any problems at all. ;D

Very funny. ;)
My Windows settings have not changed, I have installed no new programs, nor have I applied any updates or patches that would cause this to occur.
I think the forum.nhfree.com domain is spazzing. That's all.
It works fine when I'm at forum.soulawakenings.com.

Yeah, using that will screw up your cookies. Hopefully Ian will fix it.
Hmmm...Yesterday or the day before I just started getting logged off, too. Never happened before. And, yes, I do use IE, but have never had any problems before. Funny that it just suddenly started happening to at least several of us at the same time...
For me, http://forum.soulawakenings.com works fine while nhfree.com logs me off every post.
I continue to get logged off the forum every time I try to reply to a thread, start a thread, look at a user's posts, etc. The only reason I can post this message is because I'm doing it from work. This just started happening whenever Rainey posted that she was having problems (interestingly, we live just a few miles from each other). I have not changed any settings on my computer. I haven't done anything differently. Please don't think I'm whining for the sake of whining. I love this forum and the people on it (well, most of the people). I just want to be able to navigate through it and make a post now and again. error will say ditch IE, but I shouldnt' have to, should I? And, why did everything work for so long before when using IE?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.
Hi Malevil,
I don't think your whining and I miss you when you don't post. I did take Error's advice and switch to Firefox and I have to say I love it! I don't even have to log in at all now, I just click forum and there I am. When I start my computer I do have to go and click on Firefox in the lower left hand start box or internet explorer automatically comes up but after that it's smooth sailing.
I don't know why the trouble started but at least there is a solution. :-\ Do you have the link Error posted to download Firefox?
I have separate ikons for IE, AOL and Firefox on my desktop and click on which ever I want. Usually Firefox.
I like opera myself.
It might have something to do with a forum update. The forum should work if you use forum.soulawakenings.com and allow cookies and such. I don't think we can change anything on our end.
Probably that stupid time thingy

That's what's puzzling. I enter the forum the same way as I always have, and I always allow cookies. In fact, I love cookies (especially Girl Scout). ;)
My work here is done.
:-*
I also started having alot of problems. I complained to Don and he reviewed and tweaked all the different cookie thingys. It is better now. I don't think you can blame IE for everything. Apparently it is exacting. That is not always bad.

Hm, that should fix it for you IE holdouts. If not, close the window and re-open it. :)

Problem SOLVED!!! Thanks Ian. Someday, error...someday...I'll download Firefox. Our computer is old and tired (sorta like me) and I'm afraid to add one more "thing" to it.
