Title: Anyone gots DVDs for rent?

is it legal to rent out your DVDs ?  if so...


If you have a dvd collection...let us know what you've got and how much you'd charge us to rent a given item for a few weeks.


All I have is Battlestar Galactica Pilot/Season One.   The new one, not the 70s version LOL
I would rent that out for six bucks a month but would prefer there be no shipping involved.

I will have Babylon 5 all 5 seasons shortly, and am willing to rent that out for five bucks per season, per month.   I believe each season is six discs.

Netflix does this very well.

As for legal, the movie studios really frown on it.

It should be legal to rent them, as Netfilx and video stores do it all the time. I'd be curious about borrowing and swapping DVD's as I have a pretty decent collection but always want to see more.

There is an interesting business along these lines, called BarterBee http://barterbee.com/ It uses a point system, rather than dollars. I've "bought and sold" several movies, games and cds on there. It's a great alternative to Amazon/eBay etc particularly since you can turn around and re-list the item once it has been watched or otherwise captured  :icon_pirat:
