Title: Free firewood
Post by: MaineShark on March 30, 2007, 05:06 PM NHFT
I took down a couple trees in my back yard.  I even (mostly) finished cutting them into logs.

However, I don't burn wood so it's either stack it at the side of the road with a "free" sign on it or, preferrably, let a fellow Porc take it.

Load it and it's yours.  And help with disposal of the smaller limbs would be appreciated, but is not required.

We burn wood!  I don't want to speak for Alec but we could probably use some...

I think Alec said yesterday that we were just about done for the season.

What kind of trees? How big are the pieces?

I might have to try and find someone to drive to Northwood with me to get it. I have an outdoor fireplace, so I don't need seasoned wood like someone who burns wood for heat.

Uh, ones with leaves...

Or, well, not with leaves, since it's not that time of year, yet.

One was an oak.  I think the other might have been a maple.  The pieces vary in size, and can be made smaller if needed.

I checked with Denise, who was a biochem major in college, and she confirmed my suspicions about those trees.  So, oak and maple.
