Posting to "General" because I don't think a rally against judges who are engaged in a power-grab is particularly political, but any Admin who disagrees should simply move the thread. Thanks!
For anyone not knowing what HB927 is, it's "AN ACT relative to the specific criteria and substantive educational program that define an adequate education, the resources required to provide an adequate education, and the establishment of a timetable for costing an adequate education."
IOW, educrat gobbledygook that would forever tie us up in the courts, trying to define non-definable doublespeak.

HB927 is the sharpest weapon the Socialists have for giving us an INCOME AND SALES TAX, on top of getting the State to take control of the educational system.
We have avoided the horror of a full-blown constitutional amendment, which would be nearly impossible to reverse, for the moment. (knock wood). That still means the communists are close install a massive bureaucracy, just not as much of a permanent one.
MUCH better to kill this before the bureaucracy comes to power, than have to try to fight it after!
If you are going to be able to attend, please visit the NHAC website at www.theNHadvantage.com and fill in the Action Alert RSVP.
I really want to get like 100 people here - and I'd sleep much better at night if I knew there were people planning to attend!
Thanks!
Tammy
By the sound of things, there are going to be more rallies in the future. I don't know about state law and how these things work but it may be a good idea to provide free refreshments at all rallies and say that on all announcements. Maybe OJ, donuts and coffee for early rallies and coke, bottled water, and hotdogs for afternoon rallies or something.
I already emailed Tammy about the rally on the 27th but if anyone is interested in bringing these items for future rallies, let me know and I will pay for them. I want to make sure that people have as good a time at such rallies as possible, no one has to give up a meal to go to a rally, and give people an extra excuse to attend a rally. I'd go myself, but I am in TN.
After a rally at the State House, you can always get refreshments at the Barley House across the street:

The owner accepts Liberty Dollars!
50% chance i'll be there but am not planning on signing into other site

It opens for lunch, not no coffee, oj, donuts type breakfast food in the morning hours, for one thing :)
Two doors down from the Barley House is the NH Reagan Network office. I'll be having coffee and muffins available there before and following the rally.
OK if I send this around? Any suggested improvements or corrections?

I don't think I'll be able to attend, but I'll try to let others know. I'm going to write my Reps & Senators and I encourage everyone else in New Hampshire to do the same, either that or pick up the phone and call.

I've posted or emailed the above mini-news-release to 4 local web forums , the Monitor, the Union Leader, WMUR and NH insider.
I've called ten people and one is confirmed to be there. I will probably be there but without signs. Hopefully some of this will help, or at least help tammy sleep :)
I know how it feels to go out on a limb and set something up...wondering if enough people will show up.
Isn't a NH education "adequate" already? According to the state's own data NH looks above average, and improving.

Not according to the educrats.
They define "adequate" as a cross between "one size fits all" and "Lamborghini, or nothing!" ::)
I will be there at 9 AM tomorrow with my two homemade signs. Since there will be only one of me someone else can borrow the other! One says STOP (in a red stop sign) THE COURT. The other has HB 927 with a red slash through it and NO INCOME TAX at the bottom.
Hope to see everyone on this forum at the State house tomorrow morning!
