Join us for "Social Sundays", every week, starting at 3 p.m., at the Colony Mill (http://www.colonymill.com/)'s food court.
We should be pretty easy to spot as some of us will be wearing name badges on lanyards, but if you have trouble finding us call 603-513-2449.
More details and events at the To Do Calendar: http://calendar.FreeKeene.com
Backup location is Panera (298 West St) if the Mill is closed for holiday.
For those who like beer, the Elm city brewery is there and they make it on site. Yes, they will give samples. Good service too.
I was actually hoping for a good closer to town location. :) This may help bring back some of the freekeene guys too.
A food court is a great idea.
I like choices. And Chicken Choyya!
How did the first Social Sundays event at the new location go?
I was working overtime on Sunday, and didn't make it out. It looks like there will be another scheduling conflict for me this Sunday... bummer.
I will attend Social Sundays again soon... I promise :D

Ok.. 8 people
I'm figuring that this new place is probably another without TVs :), which might help make this a Superbowl Insanity free zone.
Is this happening this week?
BTW, why nothing on the calendar?

BUT, But? Could ANYONE get away with that
THIS week? :o
I have Sunday night off. ;D I hope to not spend even one minute of my day on the INSANITY I listen to all week long at work --- day after day, week after week, season after season, year in and year out. It really is quite sad.
There is a "grown man" at work who ACTUALY seemed like he was going to CRY over someone's harsh insult against the Red Sox last season. Some other "grown men" would have wanted to physically fight. It really is SICK . . .
Sorry to ramble . . .

Go team go!
I never heard (until this week) of the George Burns' comment about people rooting for laundry. :o

Russell and I had fun watching the Super Bowl and rooting
for the Giants against the Patriots at his aunt & uncle's home in the NC mountains. :)
Kat summed up the pregame hype nicely by pointing out that they were interviewing the wife of the Giants coach on TV. We didn't watch the beginning of the hours-long pregame show so we missed the interviews of the groundskeeper, ushers, concession attendants and former roommates of the Patriots practice squad. :P
I am happy to report that I (still) know nothing about what happend in the "match."
It's true: I have managed to avoid the whole thing. :)
I will "likely" cetainly find out much, much, much more than I need/care to know as soon as I get back to work tonight.

Been down to Massachusetts recently? Last year, when I unfortunately still lived there, they were overturning cars and rioting in the streets.
Any able to give me a ride to the meeting today (2/24/08)? I'm at Kat and Russell's place in Keene.
I plan on being there at 3pm...
see y'all there! :)
I'll be there. :)
3:00 p.m. sharp: I will be there.
Looks like I won't make it this week. It's 1430 and I'm still writing this paper due today.
I hope ya'll have a good time.
I made a little over a $1.50. :D Suckers!

I brought my one arm bandit dice. Payed on three of a kind or a pair of cherries... 20 to 1 on three BARs.
We played for a penny a throw and wallah, I'm a buck fifty richer.
Time for more bling bling big roller. ;D
Ah I see, yet again, law breaking, tisk tisk.
I've seen a few posts on this forum referencing indoor events being canceled because of snow. I would just like to point out that Social Sundays will never be canceled for any reason. See you there! 8)
New mover Brian Travis is expected to attend this Sunday's meeting! (That's Brian from Colorado, for those of you who are FTL listeners.)

Especially if there is a nuclear strike; or a zombie apocalypse, or a Godzilla attack!
We visited the last 2 times.
I 'spect we will see you guys there tomorrow.

The cancellation of indoor events due to snow is usually because it's the
getting there that becomes problematic.
Oh, I understand the excuse. I guess us Keeniacs are just more hardcore than you Manchies. :icon_pirat:
The "brain trust". ;D
According to the Ceilidh House website, they have been open again on Sundays since 2/10. Should we keep the event at the Colony Mill Foodcourt through the end of winter anyway?
I vote Colony Mill.
...though it doesn't matter much to me either way.
I would like to see it be at a stable, permanent location... so I don't have to keep updating folks I've invited (and who never seem to show up, anyway) ;D
I like colony mills better.
The Mill is more convenient for me. Too bad there aren't any places owned by Free Staters or liberty lovers in Keene, yet.
So, you guys are saying you'd prefer the event to stay at the Colony Mill after the winter as well?
Yeah, the Mill is a good place for now. Less driving for most of us, I think.

I like it ... it is quiet and can handle many people.
Anyone going from Manchester area and looking to carpool? Newbie to NH here...
Brian from Colorado will be there? Yes! He can hold a lit cigar in one hand, a cell phone recording video in the other, and put his hands in his pockets at the same time! I've gotta see that.
I'll be there on Sunday. I have a new phone that can't record video and smoking is probably prohibited in the mall. But I'll bring extra pockets!

Will not be at this weeks meet n' greet. I 'ordered' an Id from Puke, I'm uncertain if I will see him till sometime after my trial, monday, could someone who promises to be at my trial pick it up for me sunday? Much apprieciated. I want to have it in place of my gov't id before the trial. ;)

I can do it.
I cannot exactly
promise to be at the trial... but I will be
if nothing unforeseen happens to me, such as an encounter of my own with the blue-light gang :D

Whoa! I didn't know I had a deadline! I guess I'll get to work on it this Saturday. I also don't have a color printer or a laminator. Russell did the printing and laminating himself. Just to let you know.
Opps.
Just post it on the Id thread like you did the mona lisa pic, I will copy and save it, resize it, then laminate it the same way Russell did.
Sorry. It is desireable to have it just in case the court asks for id, but if you don't have it, not a big deal.

It's cool now that I know. I was just surprised that you wanted it by Monday b/c I had no idea. After the peace rally today I'll get started on it. It wont' take too long. I do plan to modify the design a bit, make it look more pretty.
We buy little self laminating pouches from walmart for a couple bucks, if that helps.
Here (http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/badge.php) is a quick and cheap way to make IDs or press passes.
Cool :)
Apparently, it is Easter today. We are moving the meeting to Panera.
Backup location is now Panera (298 West St) if the Mill is closed for holiday.
I will be unable to make it to Social Sunday today: I will be working.
I'm planning to come tomorrow.
