Anyone been there yet? It's on Central Square. Supposedly a club or bar... not really sure, but they sure have a great logo.
No knowledge.

Central Square, Cambridge? if not, which town/city/state?

Keene resident Ian posted this in the
Keene sub-forum -- I'm betting it's safe to assume that the town being alluded to is Keene, as well >:D
Ah, Keene has a Central Square? When I hear Central Square, I think of Cambridge, which is hopping with a known regional nightclub/music scene.
That is the problem with the provincial Keene-centric type: ya know, there might be other Central Squares out there within operatin' range. ;) (True, I didn't look at the fact that the thread was a Monadnock|Keene one - problem with high-speed web reading, I guess)
It is technically a circle, but yes :)
PS: having lived in Nashua for many, many years, and Cambridge, Mass being closer than Keene, NH may also explain some of the confusion. Also, the radio stations you'd get in Nashua would advertize musical venues in Central Square, Cambridge. I should have known on an NHFREE forum, though that that was a forbidden destination ;D

Yeah, Milford's green in the center of town is more accurately called the Milford OVAL! Except, even that's inaccurate now. A modification of it in years past made it into more of a triangle.

PS: a Milford question: What do you call adolescents who hang around with their buds at the Milford Oval?
OVAL TEENS ;D
Same side as UPS Store.

Similar here. I use the "All Unread Posts" feature so I usually have no idea where something is posted unless I have some reason to check.

That would involve going somewhere at the same time that I work, as I believe this place is only open at night. ::)
U are excused from going outside anyways, hehe
Go inside?
What ever for?
So, did anyone enter this place yet??? Or poke it with a stick? Touch the door knob?? anything???
(you arnt chicken, are you?? )
I would go in, but I haven't been to Keene in a few months. And that was just passing through on the way to Winchester in the middle of the night.

I went in last night and had a few drinks, it's a nice setup if you bring along a group. All in all, just another bar. I also noticed that the place next to it is a vacant store front, which may have been why I though the place was empty. I'm curious as to who owns the place and the name of the place. When I was in there last night, I recognized some of the people working there (they worked at a different bar the last time I saw them). Could the name have been inspired by the owner(s) and employees dissatisfaction with a drinking establishment they worked at before?

Yup.
I finally found the place while driving past. It is kinda buried in there and doesn't show up well.
Just found this thread thought maybe it would be appropriate to respond.
We just got our "feet wet" for the last two months and now are going to amp up the storefront and start some consistant specials that might fit in nicely.
Its a nice social place where the music is not overwelming and hopefully its comfortable for large and small groups. Response has been very postive and we could not be any happier with our soft opening.
I'll take any suggestions and don't hestitate to check out the place. I'll respond to any questions if there are any burning.
BTW...on this date in 1765 the British passed the Stamp Act. Guess what that sparked?
Welcome to the forum, Vendetta! :)
I'll have drop by sometime. I finally got to see the storefront on Monday for the first time, it's so inconspicuous.
Three questions:
Do you serve food?
Is there wireless internet access?
Are you open on Sundays, and if so, what are the hours?
Yes, we serve great casual food. Appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and 3 entrées per day. We have a few soups we are playing around with and daily specials like burritos, wraps, and anything we feel like trying. Yes, we have wireless Internet, but Keene now has public wireless which everyone has access in town. Yes, we are open on Sundays. Our hours are 4-1AM most days closing slightly earlier on Sundays and weekdays for now. When spring hits I think opening for lunch from 11am-2pm would be nice with the bar staying open after 2pm and beginning dinner at 5pm. I have to wait to see if people would be interested in the earlier hours. Hope I answered the questions and hope to see ya.

Yaaay! I am liking this place already -- has food and adult beverages, not too loud, has wi-fi, and is open late on Sundays... right here in Keene! :) :party-smiley-020:
The problem with Keene public wi-fi (besides the fact that it is funded by taxes), is that even in downtown shops it is difficult to get a signal. So it is great that you have your own wi-fi to offer.
...and I'm betting I am not the only one on this forum who is excited by all this new place has to offer ;)
Sounds like a nice place. Not having blaring music is a plus for me, I hate having to yell in order to talk to the person right next to me.
Is wearing a V mask required?? ;D
Don't worry - I have one.
I have two. :V_mask_50:
Alright. So, I thought someone from here would come by, but I didn't see any suspects..haha.
You guys still chicken? ;-] Tonight is Beer Wars and $3 drink night. 2 or 3 beers go head-to-head for 1.50 for two nights with the winner sold for $2 all week. This week is Long Trail Ale VS. Magic Hat Circus Boy (2 Vt. Beers) The most of whatever beer sold wins and so to does the vote in the form of ordering the drink. Democracy at work. If you don't like beer we have the $3 drink.
P.S. No, a V mask is not required. I'd like one to put on the wall however.
Do they serve any fresh squeezed juice? ;)
Yes, we do have fresh squeezed juice on request because we have a "squeezer" ;-] Lime and lemon anyway. If you are looking for a fresh squeezed coconut---probably not unless you bring the coconut. ;-}
We have crazy great specials everyday and are always taking suggestions. This Sat. we are giving away a trip to Vegas for the winner of the Rock, Paper, Scissors tournamenet. Who else does that? We have $3 Dollar drinks all day and night on Mon. and Tues. This week it looks as if Long Trail is kicking Magic Hat in the dirt meaning Long Trail Ale will be $2 all week. Wednesdays is Guys and Gals night where we serve ridiculously cheap pitchers with pizzas and $2 off Cosmos and Martinis. Thursday we are get together an acoustical jam yet to be determined. Any ideas let me know, but for the sake of humanity just stop in. haha. ;>
Some of the guys will be joining me there Thursday 4/3 at around 16:00 or so for a couple hours. Might hit it again for a frosty one at 22:00 after FTL.
That is 4:oo and 10:oo, ;D If I remember, i think I will join you. At least for the 4 o'clock one.
Can minors come to this place to eat?
Wouldn't hurt to try... seems like they want our business.
We'll just go, and I'll bring Kira home if she is verboten. I can't find their phone number and just realized I can't call information from this VoIP phone.

Seems like they're not allowed at Railroad tavern. They let Kira into Vendetta. She liked the stuffed pasta shells.
Vendetta delivered as advertised - a NYC city bar in a small town. Decor was excellent, as was the beer selection. You cannot ask for much more, except to end the smoking ban.

Yeah. Some places downtown have enough room for outdoor seating but not Vendetta. Which is just like NYC, unfortunately.
I'll second that.
then it sounds like we will all have to get together there!

Hey that sounds pretty cool. 8) :D
Yep. I think so too. As long as I dont get kicked in the noggin again, all will be good!
I havent attended a meeting yet, but my membership papers are in the mail.
Most excellent idea...
We could just move Social Sundays to 4p, and have it at Vendetta. Seems we've been ending up there for the past couple weeks.
In fact, I see no reason to keep it at the mill. Vendetta is certainly more private, the acoustics are decent, the food is good, the owner is friendly to us, and it's pretty much empty at 4 p.m. on Sunday. What do you think? :V_mask_50:
just dont make it on a tuesday, so I can go to both! :icon_pirat:

By all means you should organize another day if you like, but does anyone see a problem moving Social Sundays there and to 4pm?
I would suggest we announce it in advance first, wait a few weeks then formally do it. Otherwise, not a bad idea.
