If Will does a polar bear plunge, I will too.

Unless you join me, I'll not doing the polar swim on Wednesday.  However, I will be doing it in Feb at the scheduled Meet-up event.

Anyone interested in making this really interesting? How about a nude polar swim? (and by "swim" I mean submerge ourselves in the icy water and then get out within microseconds)

Oh, if Dale does a polar bear plunge, I'll do it.  But I am not doing it nude.  The legal ramifications may be worse than some felonies.

That's why I've been using the term "plunge" and trying to make it stick. Besides, it starts with "P" so it goes well with "polar".  ;D

I wouldn't encourage anyone to do this without first getting Will's signoff.  It's his event, and his name in the papers.

I've done this and to those who haven't, I'm going to strongly advise you to have flip-flops or something similar to wear all the way to the water's edge or your feet will give out from the cold sand or snow before you can even brave the water.

There may be several inches of snow on the ground by 3pm (when Will will reach Hampton Beach).  If I can get there then I'll go in the water.  I did this back in Octoberish when the water was warmer and there wasn't any snow on the ground and it was still cold as heck.

The water was cold as heck in Octoberish when I jumped.  It will be colder than heck on Wednesday.  And during the Meet-up group scheduled jump in February it will be colder than hell frozen over.  Actually, the air is expected to be cold on Wednesday, too.  I'm going to wear a plastic bag over my head if I go.

I didn't mean to exclude anyone by nude-ifying the Polar Bear Plunge. I hope that if people do jump in nude, that you jump in with us even if you're not nude!

Thanks for the flip-flop tip, Dale. I plan to disrobe very near the water, run and jump in, then run like a bat outta freezing ocean water and get dressed.

The water at Hampton Beach is 41 degrees, the air, close to 23 degrees tomorrow. High tide is at 1:28 pm, and low tide at 8:07 pm. There are a few webcams of the beach.

The roads should be fine once you hit Manchester.  Jesse and Joe from Keene have expressed interest in going.  Maybe get it touch with them.  There has got to be a freedom activist in Keene with snow tires, 4 wheel drive, front wheel drive and all season tires, or all wheel drive.

The ride to Manch is about 3/4 of the trip! hehe. I just talked to Jesse. He's been discouraged by the snow as well.

MOST IMPORTANT: To Will & Brook - WELLCOME HOME!
So glad you made it safely - Thank you for what you did.
