Tour Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory in Waterbury VT. (http://www.benjerry.com/scoop-shops/factory-tours/directions/)
See cows!
Watch machines spin!
Hear how a successful business avoids the wrath of the green socialists!
Eat Ice Cream!!!!
If 1-5 people want to come, we'll take a car.
If 4-10 people want to come, we'll take a van.
If more than 10 people want to come we will rent the fun bus!
The ride from Keene and tour will cost about $12
We will leave about 10, arrive there about noon, get back to Keene by 6.
Meet at the Sears parking lot about 9:30am. The Sears is on West St. near the highway 12 crossing.
Excuse me, did you say Ice Cream?!?
I wanna go! :D :icescream:

If you say so. ;D
My apologies Becky is off her medications and I am supposed to prevent her access to the internet. ;D
Erin and I would like to go.
This sounds really fun. 8)
Not to rain on your parade, but aren't Ben and Jerry supposed to be green socialists?

QuoteThe founders of Ben & Jerry's endorsed Barack Obama on Monday, and lent his Vermont campaign two "ObamaMobiles" that will tour the state and give away scoops of "Cherries for Change" ice cream...
Perhaps they are green socialists, perhaps that's a front to avoid the wrath of the green socialists.

I'll eat your share, so that you may retain the moral high ground. :D
LOL, Friday :D
I'm going to try to go to this.
That makes 9 people, one more and I'll be forced to alert the fun bus authorities!

I will see everyone a few days later though. ;D
Pats coming up for the 'second' half of Porcfest
Just checking: is this still on? If so, where/when will we meet up? :icescream:

Yes.
I'm doing maintenance on the van... Lauren was concerned that it would not be finished, but it is going well.
I think we should meet in Keene, at the Sears parking lot where West St. crosses 12.

Must leave by 9:30am... so 9:20am.
We can come and get you, if you like, Puke.
920am it is.
It will be me and Erin so I think it's best to just meet everyone at Sears.
Thanks for the offer though.
I'd like to go also. If there is no room left for me I can drive and carry up to 4 others.(gas donations accepted but not necessary)
Cool, then there's room for more!
The porc fun bus is available for this trip. It's a 2 hour drive one-way.
So the choices are: luxurious bus with windows and proper seats for $25 (+ $3 for the tour)
or; lawn chairs or futon space in a windowless van for $9 (+ $3 for the tour)
or; bribe Andrew to get a ride in his car for bribe (+ $3 for the tour)
Please reply to my PM with your choice.
PM sent
We have enough people willing to pay $25 to hire the fun bus! Thank you for upgrading!
If you didn't agree to the upgrade, it's still $12 and you get to ride in the fun bus anyway. It's the rising tide lifting all boats, just like you heard about in free market economics.
Still negotiating a second stop for passengers in Henniker.
Woo hoo!! Three cheers for the fun bus! :icon_cheers: :bus:
Thanks to Andrew and Keyser Soce for driving, and TTW for organizing the trip! :icescream:
ICE CREAM!
There were millions of gallons of ice cream!
We got a sample of oatmeal cookie chunk, mmmmmm. It counts as breakfast!
Thanks to William and Andrew for driving!
Ice cream! Now you can plan a whole fun time trip around it! ;D :hghfive:
We had a good time. :)
Not to be missed, the Hotel Coolidge bathroom... one of the exciting stops of the tour... much better than the District Court :P .
No commies were harmed in the ice cream raid ;D
I rather liked the train museum and the abandoned town of One River Junction (or whatever it's called).
The ice creamium was pretty awesome too.

White River Junction is the town where the hotels in the West Lebanon area tend to be as land prices and taxes for hotel owners tend to be a lot lower in VT than NH.
White River was the name, thanks.
We were laughing about the One River Junction... kind of like One Hand Clapping. ;D

Hey, those VT people are pretty wierd.
No telling what they'd name a town. ::)
My town was so poor our river junction only had one river!

Other links to come for you silly FireFox users. :P
Colorful pix, Puke! Thank you.
That link works in my firefox.
Nice. Works for me on Firefox too.
The tour was pretty sweet (pun intended). Thanks to Lauren for negotiating me a free ticket. Thanks to Andrew for driving back, I was nodding off in a sugar coma induced by my double scoop waffle cone (Cherry Garcia and Phish Food). Thanks everyone else for going, hope you enjoyed the ride.
p.s. I'm open to suggestions for improvement (I think I got most of the rattles plugged up today).

A couch across the back would be kinda cool.

We'll definitely do something more with the back, not sure exactly what yet.
