-Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities include the fiscal and program oversight of a nonprofit organization, lobbying, fundraising, and membership development.

Job Description for New Hampshire Peace Action Director
Responsibilities
Fiscal Management
-Monitors the financial status of organization
-Initiates and supervises development and management of annual budget(s)
-Finds ways to make up budget shortfalls
-Oversees decisions about day-to-day expenditures
-Signs checks for organization
Personnel
-Hires and oversees part-time staff with board support
Development
-Establishes goals for fundraising, donor development in partnership with staff and Board
-Builds active membership
-Engages and supervises the board in fundraising activity
-Seeks new private and public funding sources and maintains relationships with current funders
-Writes and submits grant applications, funding proposals and write-ups
-Oversees the annual fundraising event with help from board and staff
-Oversees content/design of all promotional materials, including website, appeals, and brochure
-Oversees the implementation of the dues-renewal process
-With the board, initiates, develops, and implements strategic planning documents
Administration/Program
-Administers e-mail listserve – this includes synthesizing legislative information from various sources, writing lobby action alerts, choosing articles for email distribution, and formatting/ choosing calendar events to promote
-Organizes educational events around the state both independently and with program partners
-Acts as a liaison between organization and national Peace Action
-Acts as a liaison between organization and hosted speakers and national peace organizer contacts
-Writes press releases for upcoming events
-Acts as editor for the publication of New Hampshire Peace Action News which prints two to four times a year
-Tracks Congressional legislation on peace issues, communicates with Congressional staff and representatives through letters, phone calls, lobby visits, and other public events
-Organizes and provides trainings in lobbying and bird-dogging
-With the board, makes candidate endorsement recommendations to the national Peace Action PAC
-Attends national conferences and organizers' meetings
-Works closely with volunteers on programs and fundraising
Public Relations (Community Outreach)
-Works closely with community organizations to further the organizational mission and serves as a community resource for peace issues
-Develops and maintains media contacts
-Represents the organization and its programs (and ideology of nonviolence) to the community
-With board and development committee, develops and monitors a marketing strategy
-Gives talks and presentations on various peace issues to an array of audiences
Board of Directors
-Keeps the NHPA ED Board and the NHPA steering committee adequately advised and educated on all matters of strategic, financial and operational importance
-Attends Board and steering committee meetings
-Assists the Board chair in preparation of agendas for Board meetings
-Helps recruit and orient new Board members
-Serves as liaison between staff and Board
-Sits on most Board committees
-Supervises and ensures the implementation of all Board policies and directives

Yes.
Does anybody know if this has been filled? A good friend of mine, very principled advocate of peace and liberty with a STRONG history in grassroots activism and a fundraising history that few can rival has expressed interest in this. If she were considered, she'd be moving from a Friend of the FSP to a FSP Mover.
