Title: 2009 Scholarship Recipients
Post by: Kat Kanning on July 24, 2009, 02:47 PM NHFT
Congrats to the Whitcomb Family of Chichester and the Williams Family of New Boston who are the 2009 Liberty Scholarship Fund recipients!  This year we raised enough money for 3 scholarships and received 3 applications, so it all worked out nicely.

Gotcha!  We need to work on getting more applicants along with contributors.

Do y'all have a newsletter I can subscribe to or something?

I like LSF.  With the death of NH Liberty Essay Contest I might be able to throw some flow.  It would help if someone cooked me a fund-raising dinner though  ;D

We don't have a newsletter at present.  A fund-raising dinner sounds like a great idea, though, thanks!  :D

An email newsletter might help.

I like the idea of a dinner.

We had great success with a fundraising yard sale for Scholars Academy.  We took in $650.
If you do it beg everyone for stuff and have in a good location like Manchester, Keene etc....
Have plenty of fliers.  People gave us extra money and didn't haggle prices.  We also found people interested in the school.
Keep in mind I'm about to hit everyone one up for more stuff for another yard sale for the Scholars Academy.
I'm to be the art teacher and I need money for supplies.  8)
