cool
I'm seriously contemplating a second visit for this. I may just visit every Free Keene Fest until I make the actual move. :P
Mike, you are a great activist. Thank you for organizing this. Heck, I find it stressful just organizing a table but you do a whole event :o

He's also never organized events prior to Free Keene Fest - talk about picking up a ball and running with it.
I think he's gunning for your Activist of the Year position!
Oh, come on, y'all. No need to butter me up - I've already volunteered. :)
And thank you for helping me, as you all did the previous times, and for your own activism. We all do what we can.
mike isn't that great
Sure he is!

Properly punctuated, it should read:
Mike! Isn't that great?!
We need to pay the bands if we want them to perform at the Fall 2009 Free Keene Fest. Please donate to help assure we have live music this time!
Please visit our ChipIn (http://freekeenefest.chipin.com/live-music-free-keene-fest) to donate.
Thank you!
I was just talking about this last night... 8)
Support the live performances. :)
Those bands rock. I threw in $50.
Thank you so much for your donations! We have received over half of what we need to pay the bands to perform. If you haven't yet donated and would like to, we'd really appreciate it: ChipIn (http://freekeenefest.chipin.com/live-music-free-keene-fest).
Thank you!

If you never got all of the money to pay the bands, use the money to drive John and Rich down from Grafton. They will likely play their mountain music for free :P
John and Rich, you are more than welcome to come perform at the Free Keene Fest! A portion of these donations will be paid to you if you do.
If I can make it, ill also play for free if you want. Sounds like fun!
John and Rich who?
Friends in Manchester and surrounds can hop on the Porcupine Party Bus and enjoy some beautiful fall foliage along the way. Live music, grub, liberty outreach at the destination.
Only $20 or 1 oz. silver for the trip -- includes snacks and a beverage. Leave the driving/parking to us.
NOTE: We only roll if there are at least 12 riders confirmed.
DEPARTS MANCHESTER at 10:00 a.m.; DEPARTS KEENE at 3:00 p.m.
(This is the day after the Pumpkin Festival road trip)

We are so close to meeting our original goal of $200 to pay the bands to perform at the Free Keene Fest this Sunday. We're just $4 short! Of course, we have more bands performing this time: 4 (instead of 2), so the more money we have to pay them, the better.
Thank you so much for donating! And if you haven't yet but still would like to help us pay for the bands, please visit our ChipIn page (http://freekeenefest.chipin.com/live-music-free-keene-fest).
I have never done a 'chipin' online, prefere to pay cash. Would like to donate, who do I give it too?

Thank you, David! You can give it to me at the festival on Sunday, if you like. Or I'll be going to movie night in Winchester tomorrow. I really appreciate the help.
I think Ryan and Kellie have the materials for Operation Politically Homeless (i.e., the World's Smallest Political Quiz): the chart, quizzes, signs, flyers, etc. Is anyone willing to man this table and ask passers-by to take the quiz and post their results on the chart?
Also, Kellie and Ryan, can you please verify whether you have the materials? If you don't, I'd like to find them.
Thanks.

You can send him a PM on this forum. He's "Porcupine Realtor." I'll let him know to keep an eye out for it.
Cool I sent him a PM, Thanks!

The Fall 2009 Free Keene Fest will be Sunday, October 18, 2009 (the day after the Keene Pumpkin Festival). Details and discussions can be found here (http://freekeenefest.com). It should be even a little bigger and better than the last one!
I can't find anything that says what time this thing starts.
Oh nevermind, I found it on Facebook: 11:00
I need the signs from your mantle and any LSF applications that you may have.
It's 7:15 am and I'm about to head to Central Sq to submit my 420 punkin.

FYI: I modified the original post in this thread to contain more details about the FKF.
A bunch of us are coming down for this, even Russell is coming! :D
Everybody call him Jim!
With 80 percent chance of rain(snow?) and a high of 40 degrees, I'm going to pass on this and try to avoid rolling my cold into pneumonia.

Wow, you're up early. I guess that's farm life for ya.
I'll be just a smidge late due to the Quaker Meeting. The important part ends at 11 and then I can walk to the festival in like 5 minutes.
I'll have postcards of comics that I can autograph, a few t-shirts, and coffee brownies.
Thank you to all who came out and participated in or volunteered at or just enjoyed the Free Keene Fest today! You are incredible people!
Despite the cold and rain, more and more activists continued arriving and setting up tables and tents. Despite one band canceling, 2 others performed. And even in the rain, we had locals walking through buying food and T-shirts and asking questions about the recent imprisonments and other liberty subjects.
The picnic was canceled, but a bunch of us protested outside the jail after the festival; thanks, Liberty Bus, for transporting people between Keene and Westmoreland! And for bringing porcs out from Manchester, despite not making a profit!
I'm so pleased to know all of you, to be "working" with you to spread liberty (though I'd hardly call it working because it's so fun!).
Thank you!
And next year the Fall FKF will be earlier so we can expect warmer weather. :)
Most fun I have had in the cold and rain ever.
Wow, thanks to Ryan and Kelly who brought in $100 for the Liberty Scholarship Fund with all the great food they were selling! :D

Great tamales and stuff!
We had fun...
I had a great time. ;D
The weather didn't bother me... although my candy ass melted a little.
Early on, I was disappointed, thinking the rain would ruin the event/day. But thanks to all my friends, the day was successful and very fun.
;D 8)
