i was thinking of having a once a month occasion outside and around and on top of the granite blocks that protect the feds from us

we can then meet for lunch and liven up the concord porcs meeting

this is also a way to meet with friends monthly during the winter when we are not having picnics in our front yard

i could use some help creating my letter i will send to the feds
it would cover the terms of their surrender
i should send it to their secretary of state and whoever runs the building in concord
i was thinking if they withdraw their forces stationed in nh we can offer them  safe passage back to DC

should we offer them a reasonable price for their holdings they will leave behind?

this month i think we should measure the granite blocks that surround the building
how about in january we wear our special square tinfoil hats and attempt to levitate all of the granite blocks?
it make take some really good kazooing

Like the frontier forts, the federal presence in the Shire is hardened against the native population. Why is this the case?

Because they are imposing the "ruling gang in Washington's" agenda down the natives throats.

When the people of a state decide it is time to change the draconian laws, the feds continue to force their will on the peoples of that state. Even without the constitutional authority.

Joseph S Haas apparently has proven that the federal goberment didn't get permission from the state of NH goberment to have the federal facilities in the state.

It is time to assess the value of the facilities and prepare to sell their holdings. How much is the Ministry of Love worth if sold on the open market?

We'll be leaving the Hoyt farm at 10:00a. I don't think we'll be taking the magic bus - there aren't enough people to warrant it, and there's no theatrical purpose to it for the protest (and parking it at the Red Apple would be impossible). We will be carpooling, though.

Who's joining us?

I was in Manch today and it was COOOOOOOOLD. I'm sure I could do a Day #2. Maybe. I think.

Some random lady offered me a hat today. I suppose she liked my message of peace. But I have a big head and I did not take it, but I thanked her profusely.

that's how i took it
the best spot to protest the feds seems like the nearest fed building

we found that there are many different sizes of fed protection blocks
3'x3'x6' are the big boys
big rock planter beds all over
ones that are about 3'x3'x3'
and little ones that are more decorative just 1 by 1 by 3
we made one move by kazoo induced harmonics
no supercollider or global climate change needed

so here are some ideas for january

football style
tinfoil hat levitation
lay siege to the building for an entire hour
pirate raid

i would like to try jousting sticks on bikes in better weather

depending on snow conditions we could make a snow sculpture

renee had a good idea
if one of you guys is ready to run with an idea .... tell us about it, post it everywhere and see how many of us will join you
i thought our first day was successful in that our trail run seemed to work a little. We shall see if the feds leave town monday.
Next month let's knock 'em over :icon_pirat:

You should give them two weeks, they probably need to find accommodations in another state... and they're big assholes so that might take time.

I know if they just called me up out of the blue, I'd be like, "Dudes?!.... a little fuck'n notice!".  "I don't need any extra assholes hang'n here!"  So it would be like that.

Yeah I could see were that would harsh your mellow Dude !
They would be bringing ya down with those negative waves.

It would be the christian thing to do.

Hey!  That gives me a great idea.  If they are still around next Christmas we could make a big box and cover it with wrapping paper and a large bow.  We could put it in front of the fed building.  They would drag it into the building and put it near their Christmas tree while we are hiding inside.

It would work great at Easter too.  We could make a huge basket and everyone could dress as colored eggs or bits of fancy wrapped candy.   :Mr. Burns:

From the Facebook event:

When: January 9th, 11 am to 12 pm
Where:  Fed Building, Pleasant St., Concord

Well, the feds are STILL in NH. Can you believe it, after last month? This month, we're going to build a seige wall of snow around the fed building. They put up all those granite blocks after 9/11 to protect the government (WE don't need protection, apparently), so we thought why not build a wall to protect us from them? After all, governments are by far the biggest killers in history. So bring your snow shovels and join us on January 9th for some new fed-baiting fun!

Lunch with Concord Porcupines afterward at the Red Apple Buffet.

supplies needed for january's snow wall building:

hot chocolate
shovels
cameras
video cams
hot apple cider

we will probably be able to fill in the gaps between a few blocks on the north side leading to their main entrance .... if the snow is to frozen on that side we could find a spot along the southeast side
that might hold them back and keep us all safe for the month

we will toast the best snow sculptor at lunch

maintenance of the wall throughout January will be appreciated and acknowledged at the February party
Kat and I will probably be in Concord 2 more times and can shovel some snow, snap a couple pics and head on to our errands

we succeeded in building a 2-3' high wall 150' around one side of the building (most of it was granite blocks)
we succeeded in keeping all of the federals in their compound for the entire hour
we survived the wind .... actually it wasn't that cold
we had fun with little shovels and ate good food with our friends afterwards

ack .... I forgot to award the best shoveler

I raise my lemonade glass to Jim Johnson who began the wall building and to the rest that joined him when more shovels arrived

I'd like to thank the Universe for the official recognition of my tiny shovel expertise.
I would like to thank the Feds for providing me the opportunity to win this honor.  If they weren't such extreme assholes there would be no reason to build a siege wall and therefore no reason to bring my considerable talents to bare on the construction of this minuscule edifice.
I would also like to thank the butterfly who so long ago flapped it's wings and created the chain of events that led to the formation of the FSP aaaaaaaand culminated in the this award.

And to the NH Coalition of Tax Payers, who continue to fund the government while complaining that our fight is costing the Government, and therefore the tax payers, money:  I invite you to do a cost analysis between our action today and the next time someone introduces a bill in the legislature.

Snow sculpture.

That is, build snowmen (or women, or dogs, or whatever) on top of the blocks, like statues.

That would probably attract more interest from the public, and if the Feds complained, they would look very silly.

Then give the snow-things signs to hold.

lady libertys (the reason for our quest) this time or in the future
horses or horse props
I will bring sticks as lances that can be shattered on the granite blocks
coconuts or sticks for hoof noises

Very clever Mr. Danforth, you have surmised my beginnings.  I am from a planet made completely of card board.  For a thousand generations my people worked on the construction a home planet made completely of card board.  My father had the honor of gluing the last piece.  Then in celebration they decided to have a bonfire... and then the rains came... and as the planet burned and melted away, my father sent me to live on Pulpia, the planet you call Earth.  Which is the only known source of cardboard in the universe.
My father had hoped that I would master the secrets of cardboard and exact revenge upon the destroyers of Cardboard planet.  But since they burned their own planet I thought that was a little nuts.
My father sent a piece of the original planet with me to earth.  It was to instruct me in the ways of my people.  I took the piece to a far away place and, as per instruction, I threw it away.  The wind took it and I never saw it again.
So there... I hope you're happy with your little discovery.

kat started a facebook group that will sponser these events

I need some help for the march tilt

I need 1 or 2 people to video record.
Can someone else be audio recording
someone to edit the footage

at least jim and I will be playing knights .... we can use more people who are willing to look silly fighting the giant

a wisecracking sidekick trying to talk sense into us (I can see Sam A. Robrin and others in this role)
we could have quite a group of naysayers advocating that we just stop our dreaming and drop our quest to vanquish the foes of our maiden in distress Lady Liberty

I think kat and kira will be playing coconuts for the hoofbeats
we could use any and all musical additions

we will spend the whole time filming on pleasant street leading up to the fed building and then dashing our hopes on the rocks

i will bring some pine lances ... I might break one or 2 tilting at the feds

what part do you want to play ... do we need someone else recording while you play it?

i forgot that we also need fake horses made
i will make one from a broom, but if someone makes a better one and doesn't want to play a part, i would upgrade

we must follow our quest .... come rain or shine

I'll play any part. Even Dulcinea - I already have fishnets. :)

If I'm the only videographer, then yes, someone may need to take over for me while I'm on camera. Or we could use a tripod, which I have.

Hi, I'm new to the forum, but thought I'd pass this along if anyone's interested:

NH Peace Action will be holding an antiwar march from Concord HS, down Pleasant Street, to the State House followed by a rally on the State House plaza, also on the afternoon of Saturday the 13th.  They specifically want to welcome libertarians to join in opposing the war.

The march is scheduled to leave CHS at 12:45.  The rally at the state house is 1-2:30.

There are also peace activist/nonviolent resistance training sessions at CHS all morning before the march.

It will be great to see libertarians represented.

did you guys ever visit the various US rep offices during presidents week?

I think there were some weather/travel issues with the president's day visits and it had to be rescheduled.  I wasn't able to participate.  My president's day is March 2nd anyway :).

if we wanted to join the show at the statehouse we could for a while and then go to lunch later. Our outfits might loook good for it. We could get it going early by going straight there.

I looked at the week-long forecast the other day and it has highs in the 40s all week. The very next day it was almost 60. I take the weather forecasts with a pillar of salt, preferably of the Sodom variety. There's just too much chaos theory going on there. I think a butterfly somewhere decided not to sit perfectly still.

"If you don't get off the property I'm taken down all your names and making reports on all of you!", says the little old security guard grandpa.

I heard, 'My wife told me to chase you kids off the lawn... and your not getting your ball back either!'

Was this a failing on my part or a proper subconscious interpretation?
If it was proper, will I have to break into their house to get our ball back or will they have a change of heart some day and give us our ball back?

I noticed that grandpa came out because of the signs, not specifically because we had stepped on their lawn.  Before the signs got there grandpa was joking with us, "Get back on your horse."

Short answer is yes... :)
Long answer is that lands right in the middle of the college graduation season that I have committed for shoots and editing... the better part of our bread and butter for the year.

Is there anyone else who recognizes the Feds are the "root" cause of the "War on Marijuana People"? Will others help highlight that the occupation forces are the real obstacle to evolutionary change?

I will be in my torture outfit.
We can interview people about why they do or don't pay federal income taxes.

It was too bad we didn't have FIJA material with us yesterday.  We parked next to a long line of jurors and several jurors stood on the street corner with us, waiting to cross the road.  No idea what trial was going on though.

Just wanted to publicly give kudos to the Cardboard Knight...
Bitchin' visual... I could see him from blocks away.

We got lots of positive feedback from passers-by... A car with young men asked if we were some of the Tea Party crowd... they were very much interested that we weren't. The partisan crap has turned people off...

We weren't yelling through a bullhorn and were making quite the peaceful statement...
The whole scene reminded me of a scene from Monty Python...  ;D

'The power of the absurd'...
The blue coats didn't know what to do and just ended up withdrawing into their fortified position... more than once.

Great to see kids, moms and wacky costumed folks... best turn out so far. The park is a good after event location.
We had to make the time to make this event and felt it was very much worth it... Look foward to see what kind of mischief comes next time.

Can't wait to see Anton's images.  :)

Till then, here is a Barskey of the Noble Knight  8)

I'm happy to say that we may have won again today.   :)

We where confronted by one person who identified himself as a cop.
He looked like a very hard drunk... red faced, gaunt and a barely under control demeanor.
He was parked in one of the special police parking spots in what looked like a privately owned vehicle.
He wanted to know when we needed to go back to our jobs... it did look like he wanted to give us a ride back to our jobs.
I asked him if he thought it was alright to imprison and torture Russell.
He wanted to know what Russell was accused of.
I asked, "Does that matter?  He has been accused."
He told Russell to step away from the car.  He didn't want to hit Russell in the ass with his mirror as he drove away.

Russell mentioned that that was a guy who is ready to kill people after being handed a crudely photocopied piece of paper with someones name on it.

Would the presence of the protesters cause prospective jurors to give more or less credence to the FIJA brochures?  They'd probably be more likely to read them, but would they be more or less likely to believe them?

I expect it would depend upon the juror's beliefs.  That is, an anti-war juror would be more likely to believe the brochures if the protesters were protesting against the war.  An anti-income-tax juror would be more likely to believe the brochure if the protesters were protesting against the income tax.  Etc.

I'd say that sticking with the war is the best bet.  Someone who's pro-tax might still sit there and refuse to convict someone for marijuana, or some other consensual crime.  I can't imagine that a pro-war juror would be all that likely to oppose the government on anything meaningful, except maybe a gun case, which would be good, but  we don't tend to have many of those here in NH.

how about tilting at the feds after we tilt at the state on August 12th?

Ivy has a hearing with the state in Concord that day between 10:30 and noon

How about we show up in our funny costumes outside whatever state government building and convict the state of "practicing law without our consent"?

Then we could circle the fed compound once, filming and photographing as we go.

Then picnic somewhere.

LOL, maybe the water trick worked since they didn't throw us in jail a few minutes after that.

We arrived 20 mins late.  Saw Anton drive by but didn't get his attention.  Some of us chalked the sidewalk and granite blocks.  Three police cars came, plus two fed marshalls and one security guard.  None of us would talk to them.  They held a conference and decided not to molest us today.

Russell has pics and video.

the federal security guard seemed confused when he said "I'm going to have to ask you to stop drawing, most of what you guys do I can't do anything about but this will not make them happy."  and I continued on with my 'drawing'.  Kat then walked in front of him and continued to draw.

the cop said we had to stop writing.  Then he yelled at Kat "HELLO!" when she disobeyed him.  The cop kept looking at me as if I wasn't involved.  I had chalk on my hands, and was taking pictures of him.  I'm not sure why he thought I wasn't involved.  He asked out loud while looking at me "anyone want to tell me what's going on?"  I smiled and said nothing.

In the end, after a big huddle and a supervisor making a phone call they told us that they were called out because they thought someone had 'spray paint'. . . last I checked you don't draw with spray paint, you paint with spray paint.  Besides, I've never seen a spray paint can that disintegrates in your hand as you rub it on granite.

The maintenence man was taking video.  That is until he saw me coming with my camera.  All talk, no balls.

They reminded us to not cross the street without being in a crosswalk.  I think he might have thought we were too stupid to look both ways.  I told him to have a nice day and he thanked me.  Kira then crossed the street outside of the crosswalk.  She was unharmed.

about 5 photos so far on http://www.shirephotography.com (http://www.shirephotography.com) in the NH LIBERTY gallery.

Truly hilarious...  "She was unharmed."

Like the time I bought a vehicle and brought it home, then went to the town clerk to register it, the next day.  "How'd you get it here; you never came in for temp plates..."  "I drove it here."  "You can't do that."  "The wheels turned and it didn't catch fire so, apparently, I can."  <blank stare>

Somehow, quoting the law never seems to have the desired effect on those who decide what the law means and to whom it applies.

that's a great video!  I didn't see the officer take Kat's chalk.  She was obviously doing nothing wrong and it was wrong of him to steal her possessions.

and then he jaywalked, and then told us not to jaywalk (as if my intention was to be hit by an automobile) and then he jaywalked again.

Brilliant, Dave: "I'm going to back away then so that I can't hear you."

I would have been stuck on, "I am audio recording, and if you don't give consent, you have the right to remain silent." By backing away, you put the ball in his court: if he wants to engage you, he must consent to audio recording.

Well done ya'll... and funny to boot.  ;D

I can't imagine how this was accomplished without a bullhorn, without calling the cops Nazis, without alienating passersbys...

As an aside, I don't think the Concord cops have jurisdiction over the granite blocks.

Gawd, I just had to smack myself! My first thought (sometimes too much conditioning just creeps through and you have to slap that schit back down!) was "well THAT'S a good use for homeland security..." all sarcastic in my head and then... and then... I realized that was actually TRUE... without sarcasm!  It really IS the best use for Faterlund ... ummmmm... homeland security!

I still have some pairs of little girls' underpants left over, if anyone wants to start a "charity drive."  The thug who was "assaulted" by Mike Tiner is--according to Mark Edge, who spoke with some of his co-workers--still being kidded about that.  And I'd bet the rent that he thinks twice now before doing anything similar....
