the weather was nice and the leaves looked great as we drove around today
one funny thing was that the government fire signs said:
high fire danger in tilton
moderate in andover
and
low in grafton

so either we got more rain last week or the fire scare propaganda is less here in grafton

in the fall/winter they put "Seasons Greetings" on the Tilton Fire Danger sign.  Smokey the Bear says: "There's no fire danger in winter"

maybe if there's no fire danger, the firemen could lay themselves off.  That sign lasted well into spring this year.  The season of winter is one where you can have whatever fires you want since they will only extingusih themselves as soon as you light them.

But what if it's a warm day and the fire don't know it's winter?
