Title: Trading with me. Me is Dave Ridley.
Post by: Dave Ridley on October 02, 2011, 05:29 PM NHFT
If you need to pay me (Ridley) for something: My Bitcoin address:  12MNh2iN89Wh11aArrqCWdWwZXKwmbFrfy  as of July 2014.

You can contact me at https://www.facebook.com/ridleyreport

As of July 2014 I'm willing to accept most cryptocurrencies but can't list them all...

Here's a list of things I'm buying and selling as of Jan 25, 2013...although it will tend to change faster than I can provide notice.  I do accept BitCoins and most any major alternative currencies.  I'd like to trade a lot a the liberty forum, etc. but can only bring items to sell if I have enough advance notice.

I'm buying or looking for:

Clothing repairs
Old honey:  will pay 1.50 / lb (crystalized is fine)
Cheap microphones (can't find one that works well with my recorder but I know they exist!)
Printer
Old salt - 10 cents/pound usually
scale that can weigh smaller quantities of things, i.e. not a "weight watching scale"
pair of snowshoes
desiccant (moisture absorbers)
Also looking for seal-able plastic containers that have a mouth big enough so you can put CD's in them. Probably just need a few.
Headphones with a 90-degree-anle connector.
Mousepad
2 liter pepsi bottles or water-holding bottles of similar size that can hold drinking water.
sleeping bag.
Mini-DV video camera that is good in low light.
Old smart phone...might even take an old dumb phone.
storage space
mini-dv tapes
thumb drives

I'm selling these items, although in some cases it's intermittent.  And I may need advance notice:

Gadsden (Rattlesnake) Flags 3' x 5' - $8 ea.

RidleyReport DVD's:  Season 2009b (Roughly 4 hours of ridleos you'll never have to download!)  $3.50 ea.
Glass Candles: (The most efficient bang-for-your buck stand-alone kind I could find):  $1.50
Tea Candles:  4ยข  ea.
Rigid blank posterboard (2' x 3' signs for protests and announcements) $1.50 ea
Wheat bucket - 45 pounds in a six gallon bucket....packaged this year according to the seller, in mylar with oxygen absorbers or nitrogen preservers.
Space blankets (for disaster kits, cars, etc.  Probably won't have them in hand until mid-November): $1.50 each.
Bitcoins @ spot price
I have other related things for sale too that aren't consistently listed here.  Just lemme know what you're after.

More buy/sell items to be posted as options and prices change.

Many of the things I'm selling will appear in a plastic box at my PorcFest campsite. You'll be able to just look inside and leave money whether I'm there or not.  I did have one small item apparently stolen last year so I'll probably aim a camera at the "store" this time.

In terms of purchases, some things I pay a decent price for, others I am just bargain hunting or can only buy a little.  Obviously some of these things would be very small scale monetarily speaking, but it's better than recycling or Goodwill.  We need to get in the habit of trading more with each other.  Or your kids might find it a good entrepreneurial experience.  If you want to know more you can eventually reach me through this forum, but I'm slow here.  Best contact method is to E-mail me through RidleyReport.com

Other things that are already being bought and sold by other Milly's attendees:

Montana lifetime car registration (totally legal, to my surprise)
Silver

I should probably make a thread that lists everything *everyone* is openly buying/selling sell near the event.  Rather than just a list of what *I* am buying/selling.

Emily is selling "Jane" hats.  You know, the ones like that guy from Firefly wears.  She makes them by hand.  She is doing a little bit of clothing repair too.  She is often at the Mingle.

CurtHowland also attends sometimes and wants to sell a violin:

Someone got hired at Milly's Mingle the other day, though I'm not sure what for.

I understand someone may be showing up soon to buy and sell Bitcoins.  I may be able to sell them soon; am one or two steps away.

I'm selling on average one item or set of items per visit, and I'm buying something roughly once per visit as well.

I must have left a pair of snowshoes in Grafton. I don't know where they are. Maybe I gave them to John.

If you post here what you are selling I will look through the list!   This forum should be a flurry of relatively comprehensive trading, why isn't it?
