Title: House of Cards
Post by: Jim Johnson on February 16, 2015, 12:30 AM NHFT
I have been traumatized by events in the first episode of season 2 of Netflix's 'House of Cards'.  :faint:

What? Do I have to kick Kevin Spacey's ass?

"Listen here Kevin, I've liked you in everything I've seen you do, from "The Usual Suspects" to "Swimming With Sharks" to "American Beauty" But now you're upsetting Jim... Knock it off!"

I didn't make it all the way through first season yet. I guess I better go catch up before I open this thread again! Meanwhile, I've rewatched all of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and started on rewatching Angel. Sheesh.

Maybe they should have called this show Clash of the Titans.

I really feel like this series needs to end with him getting away with everything. It will be realistic and frustrating in all the right ways.

That would be best... with him sitting in the President's Chair.

Not sure exactly but I'm pretty deep into season 2, maybe near the end and uh... brain 'sploded. What the fudge-sickle!

I'm a sucker for Kevin Spacey, I've liked everything I've seen him in.

The cinematography is really nice as well, shot with RED Epic cameras. Much of the street scenes are shot in Baltimore, close in look, but I could tell the difference right away.

The DC beauty shots in the open are sweet. You wouldn't believe what a big deal it is to get a "tripod permit" to shoot in those areas. Becky and I spent a crazy day poaching beauty shots of the monuments for a show the Mormon Tabernacle Choir did at DAR Constitution Hall. She would drop me off and keep circling till I came walking swiftly for our getaway. A couple of times with cops in the background trying to get me to stop. For some reason I couldn't hear them calling out to me. ;D ;D ;D We did in one day what would have taken weeks if we had done it legally.

Kevin was friends with the Clintons and some would say there are similarities in the characters.  ;D
