Title: US Currency?
Post by: Zork on April 26, 2006, 11:48 AM NHFT
Once we seccede, would we accept Federal Reserve notes in addition to the local currency, such as many stores in Canada do (unless I've been misinformed)?  I assume there's little interest in making the US $ the official NH currency as it is in Panama.  Or would we truely decentralize our money and have no official coinage and anyone is open to accept whatever they want as payment?

No. We don't propose that NH takes over any of the Federal functions.

We propose that people can decide for themselfs what they want to use as currency. That means if they want to use Federal reserve notes, or curency from a different country they can. If they want to use gold or silver bullion as the median of exchange they can. If they want to use something else, they can.

We don't propose to impose any sort of legal tender laws on citizens.
