Just thought I'd let ya'll know the prerelease info.
The first samples to be distributed at the LP National Convention in Portland this weekend. Varrin is carrying them out on the plane right now. Along with Denis's FSP DVD.

Majorly cool!
Porc Fest 06
Wow! Fast.
Yeah Varrin asked me to get something together for him ASAP...
Between loading, editing and attempting to author the DVD with new software didn't get much sleep this week.
Mr Murphy sure had fun messing with me. Let's see... had to render the DVD contents several times at over 6 hours per try. Power hit from nearby lightning strike stopped the burning process, so less copies than I had wanted were delivered late thursday night for Varrin's 4 am departure. Flash flood on the mountain, working during William's 5 birthday party... among the highlights (lowlights) of working against a deadline.
But, the DVD turned out well... the Noncooperation piece from Russell and Lauren's talk is good. Classic Russell performance not to be missed... also Lauren's reference to the 3 waves of the revolution was enough to drive most of the politicians from the room. 8)
Sweet Roger!
Will that piece be uploaded to the web soon?
Time to start the viral spiral on Google, youtube etc?
Where's the torrent? I'll seed.
Catching up outside after a month and half of rain... and turning down paying gigs.
DVD release first... when the dust settles I can get to stage 2.

I understand that you need to do some catching up, but bittorrent is easy. You've already got the .ISO image to start seeding.

I'm sure glad Roger filmed it, cause I didn't get to see it.
What people think of the FSP/Underground Activism DVD
Buy his video! -Lloyd Has Spoke
I agree, good stuff! -Kat
...fucking awesome (if I may say so) work you do... -Denis (aka "a real smart guy")
Russell is damn funny -Elizabeth
Why wasn't Lauren afraid in Jail?
Why did they want to take those peoples house -William 5 (aka Batman)

Thanks to the folks that bought DVD's in the initial test sale.
$15 was established as the retail price point.
However, I think that they should be wholesaled to be sold by the NH Underground, FSP and other groups or individuals. The DVD's can be fronted with payment after they sell.
As things get figured out a wholesale quantity discount price will be established. This will provide a generous profit to the selling group or individual.
I need to get enough volume to have them mass duped.
One of the possible uses for the content is the first Public Access TV shows from this Freedom Movement. 10 shows on the disk... should offer a good cross section of "The Nonviolent Revolution". Anyone can become a local promoter of this movement by providing these shows to the Public Access Stations in their area.
Mr. Green Jeans is dead? :'( :'( :'( :'(

In case folks missed this key point (and Roger, please correct me if I'm misrepresenting you)
PLEASE DO NOT PUT THIS UP ON BITTORRENT!Roger is selling these physical DVDs of copyrighted work (and blood, sweat, and tears) in order to recoup a small fraction of the large outlay in money and time he's invested in documenting our activities.
The new clips are Roger's typical aweseome, stirring work, and the stuff you may have seen before or downloaded off the web is higher rez than the web downloads.
I purchased 2 copies of the disc; one for myself, and one to give to the SF LP (my current favorite target for recruitment).
Let us know when and where these can be ordered. I have pre-released FRNs waiting in the wings for a port-release copy.
This is what I was asking for earlier and I had NO idea it would come about so fast! Thank you.

Working out a few details, then we can release this to the wider audience.
By the way the quantity discount will apply to anyone that wants to share or sell them.
For the near term they will probably only be available to folks at the meetings and other get togethers of the activists who have landed on the Freedom Movements beachhead in New Hampshire.
As soon as possible we will offer them on a wider distribution.
As for the free content, I will continue to try and make available the web resolution versions as much as possible. And down the road I am interested in the BitTorrent type offering also. I think the average viewer would go for the hard copy from us... looks nice, very easy, and benefits our groups. With more capital... maybe I'll be working with wireless audio sooner rather than later. The audience wiil enjoy the benefit of cleaner and clearer sound.
Thanks for peoples enthusiasm... I am interested in doing this in a bigger and better way and I feel that the revenue stream is the only way to make our efforts grow.
politicalGRAFFITI.com's mission is to include other artists efforts in future projects. I'd love to collaborate with others and further our mutual goals.
e-mail addy video@politicalGRAFFITI.com
If you have edited content that you feel others would like to see let's see if we would be able to advance each others efforts. This is a longer range goal, but we can start the ball rolling. I know DadaOrwell has the footage of Mike Fisher's "Outlaw Manicurist" protest and I need to find the time to coordinate with him. But, my next video effort (for this cause) really needs to be the Real ID footage from the Senate vote. I think we can cause a bit of a ripple in the next election cycle. :icon_pirat:

The groups that I have been helping get there messages out are the ultimate we. That has been my vision for politicalGRAFFITI... to further the issues and the groups.
I worked with political and nonprofits in DC and saw how, somtimes, money donated to organizations could just go down the drain. I decided to donate time, access to equipment, and creative inputs. There is a leveraging effect were 1,000 dollars can be the same as 100,000 dollars.
Just wait until the FSP and the NHLA/politicians start trying to pay the PR/marketing guys to do there media stuff... get ready for sticker shock.

Roger,

Brian
The DVD has content from PorcFest 06
Varrins speech at the BBQ
Joel's award from Dave Mincin on behalf of the NHLA, followed by Kate Rick talking about her political activism in her town.
Russell's and Lauren's talk on noncooperation.
The titles from the menu give a taste of what's on the DVD.

We sold a good number of DVD's at the Monadnock Porcupine Meeting. :)
Worked out some details regarding offering DVD's for online sale via paypal.
Also, just recieved word that the DVD's will be available via the FSP website.
More details to be announced this week.
Hey if someone can write up a 'press release' for the video and maybe post it (or something like it) somewhere we can then submit it to digg.com and 'digg' it up. Maybe this will get it more attention.
Since you'll be selling it up front, perhaps a trailer would help sales...
Good ideas... 8)
I have some time set aside tomorrow to do work for this project.
Thanks Scott. 8)
Working on the text for a disclaimer.
(per Varrin's request)
Disclaimer:
The Free State Project seeks 20,000 participants who commit to move to New Hampshire, where they will exert the fullest practical effort toward the creation of a society in which the maximum role of civil government is the protection of life, liberty and property. The mission is to attract people who seek that style of government. The work of creating and sustaining such a society in New Hampshire is the job of residents, including project participants, not the Free State Project itself.
People who desire the limited government described above carry many names: libertarian, classical liberal, "Goldwater conservative," etc. They have many interests and styles of pursuing such a society. The Free State Project does not endorse any specific changes to government or strategies to achieve them but rather leaves that up to its participants to work on once they come home to New Hampshire.
(Idea for text... input welcome)
Translation:
The Free State Project is the "bus" that brings folks to the Free State.
The nice people in the leadership of this group really don't want to tell you it is a good idea to...
--Dress up like the Statue of Liberty and burn Social Security Cards in front of the Social Security Administration Office.
--Publicly refuse to pay the Federal Income Tax
--Take up residence in a Eminent Domain Zone and refuse to leave, while making the controlling authority look like the meanies they are.
--Contact the UN and tell them you don't like their Gun Control Agenda and hold a picnic to burn UN Flags, when the local Park Manager says you need a burn permit go to his office with a video crew and nicely tell him you'll do it anyway.
--Hold a Rally at the State Capitol against the Real ID ie.National ID scheme with great speeches and good folks openly carrying firearms.
--Challenge the nonsense of "Free Speech Zones" by getting arrested for holding signs on a public sidewalk. When called into court your supporters show up carrying pitchforks and the prosecutor drops the charges.
--Educate the Police to your right to open carry firearms by standing toe to toe with them and walk away friends.
You know just having fun advancing "The Nonviolent Revolution".

Hey when you get up here we are going to have some fun. I think it would be great if your show was on the scene of the protest. If we set up wireless audio you could walk up and interview folks. You would have it for your show, we could cover our ass against the JBTs, and I'd have someone else besides Russell.
He's really taken on the "Star" habits. After the last gig, back in the luxury RV he demands I get for his use at each rally, he starts screaming about "no red M&M's... you know it's in my contract, no red M&M's". ;D

Russell, I just read the wiki page where you're selling Roger's DVD. Not only is it unnecessarily snotty, it's inaccurate. I'm the one dressed up as the Statue of Liberty on the DVD. Or had you forgotten? Varrin and I have both been working to get Roger's DVD sold on the FSP website. The entire leadership of the FSP SUPPORTS selling Roger's DVD, it's just a question of working out the particulars and editing the webpage.
For a guy who calls himself a Christian, you sure make an awful lot of unprovoked nasty remarks about "the FSP leadership", of which I am a member.

Varrin thought it was funny ..... but I had to tell him that it wasn't me. 3 guesses who it was ..... your 1st guess wasn't right.
But you're right .... I do take shots at the FSP leadership ..... :)

Sandy that was my attempt at a lighthearted disclaimer... sorry if it is the wrong tone. It was meant as a teaser for the content on the DVD and to show that some of the wacky things we do might not be what the rest of us think is appropriate or prudent. It was generated with the thought as something to be edited or finessed.
I included the Statue of Liberty reference cause that is one of my favorite parts. Remembering what you said about not being able to get anybody to march with you in the parade... and here you have found the folks that will go with you.
You have championed the DVD to the others in the FSP leadership and kept us informed on this forum about the status of things outside of our knowledge. All great stuff to me and I think to others. :)
The underground is a fast and agile force... sometimes it feels like the larger FSP force is a little awkward and bureacratic. Don't hold it too bad against us if some of us charge the hill and try to claim the ground ahead of the larger force. :icon_pirat:
Let me know when the board has made a decision. I can let ya'll have them at a wholesale rate... if we can decide on 100 or so copies I got someone to mass duplicate them.
I don't think it was out of line, Roger. I thought it was funny.
Hey, the FSP tries to distance itself from EVERYTHING, right? They should wholeheartedly agree with Roger's disclaimer.
And Sandy, no one is saying that Sandy THE INDIVIDUAL doesn't support certain things, obviously you supported the SS Card burn ...
Just that the official position of the FSP is that they do not take a position. To the extent that you DO take a position, it is my understanding that you are representing yourself, and not the FSP. Am I correct?

I'd like to have my camera locked down on a tripod and have Dada stand still holding his sign and watch the world go whizzing by 10 times speed. That could make some cool footage and show folks how one person can have a message in front of thousands of people.

I'm plenty optimistic (if I wasn't, I'd not be a part of the FSP, nor doing my show), just not around here. Liberty is dead in Sarasota, FL.
Proximity DOES bring on optimism and activism. There was a very successful activist in SC who never understood this. Every time the FSP was brought up she would bristle and vehemently declare that anyone willing to be active was already active and moving wouldn't improve the chances of success overall.
The action in NH is infectious. It makes me giddy sometimes.

Agreed. I did NOTHING for freedom before I heard of the FSP. Denis was not that active. There are probably dozens of people who are like that. And everyone is going to make others even more active.
Hell I am smiling just thinking that 10 more people are going to be in NH by Labor Day. 10 more people fighting for freedom.
Roger I have only seen a couple of your videos, but from what I've seen they truly rock! The reason you haven't heard more praise from me, in case you're wondering, is simply that I haven't gotten around to looking at that many of them. My system isn't really set up to do that. But I will get my hands on the DVD sooner or later!
One thing I do need to do is promote your videos somehow; and given time I will get a bit of that done. probably using the web forums I post to.
Thanks Dave. :)
Just an update...
Coming up on a month since creating the DVD, thanks for your enthusiasm and support.
Thought I had the support of the leadership in the FSP. I know that some of them have openly supported the sale of the DVD on the FSP site. Well it just seems to go in circles... I'm kind of losing interest in selling the idea.
I guess it is the half full - half empty view thing... I see it as half full. ;)
Thanks goodness for the NH Underground... folks like me wouldn't have any outlet for our enthusiasm.
I made it more visible on the front page of the underground.
Thanks Kat, you guys are great. :)
Hey I wouldn't even be part of the freedom movement in NH if Russell hadn't gone to the airport.
Thanks for everthing you all do. I mean all you wackos, dreamers and bold doers.
Well, I have to admit, it did take an incredible amount of courage to put that DVD up on a website. I'm really proud of myself for gritting my teeth, taking the big risks, and editing that puppy.
Here's to you Mr. Video Man .....
;D ;D ;D
Progress being made in regard to offering the DVD on the FSP website.
I like Varrin's leadership style... good man doing a tough job.
Thanks to Sandy for championing the idea to the group in the first place, Brian for supporting the idea and Jon and the others who are helping make it happen.

I second that. Especially when he has to deal with people he agrees with, throwing rocks to stir things up.
Kevin
Yeah, but I do a nice job on his lawn.

"Got the DVD yesterday. Great stuff. Thanks! Hope to see more."
Just shipped a DVD to National Center for State Courts (http://www.ncsconline.org/)

Still get the occasional order for the DVD...
Got an order to replace the DVD from a woman that has a cable show in Oregon. She wore her copy out playing it so much. :D 8)
If you ever do another one, feel free to use anything on the FreeKeene youtube channel.
