Title: Visiting Keene
Post by: shyfrog on July 26, 2006, 12:44 AM NHFT
Hello everyone,

I'll be visiting Keene this Thursday - Sunday (July 27th - 30th) for a job interview and to scope things out.

If all goes well, you'll have another porcupine in the area.

Woo-hoo!

Welcome "home", shyfrog!

Good luck with the interview. Be sure to let us know when you actually make the move. I have a special welcome message for all early movers.  >:D

Wonderful!  Would you like me to arrange a get together for you to meet some people?  And/or maybe a tour of the area?  If so, just let me know when would be a good time for you.  We're a bit busy on Thursday, but otherwise flexible.

Come visit the post office around noon Thursday and enjoy the interaction with the feds. :)
On thursday and maybe a little friday I will be taking papers all around... you could ride along and see some of the area. :)

I won't be getting in till evening on Thurs.
Friday, I really should spend time preparing for the interview but I'll be open for something that evening perhaps.

Saturday is wide open. Breakfast in Peterborough?

How about breakfast at Friendly's on 162 West Street in Keene?  Or did you prefer to go to Peterborough?

I'm easy...Keene will do as long as the food is tasty.

BTW, is there any decent Thai food there?

There's one Thai place in Keene.  The food was good, but I thought a little on the bland side.

9:30 Saturday for breakfast?

Just as a suggestion ...

Why are we going to Friendly's.  IMNSHO, Stage has MUCH better breakfast than Friendlys.

Just my $0.02.  Count me in regardless.

Russell told me Stage was closed.

I got into Keene yesterday around 7pm or so. My time is all messed up from the flight and I wasn't really paying attention.

All I remember was seeing a lot of flashing lights and police cars. Was that all for you Russell?? o.O

Yeah, my mother complained that she wanted him to stay out of prison at least until she has a chance to meet him.

There are a lot of factors I'm still looking at for a possible move. First off, a job offer would be the first. Then I'd have to make sure the family is up for it (that would be the hardest part...large family).

Either way, I'll be coming back one way or another, for a visit or what-have-you.

I enjoyed Keene. The Downtown area is nice and the surrounding towns are great. After hanging out with the NHFree folks for breakfast and at the park by the brook, I drove around all day today just looking at homes and scenery. It was a beautiful day too!

*sigh*
I just got a nice form letter from the company saying (in other words) "thanks for your interest, we gave the job to someone else, have a nice day."

???

Anyway, it was a definite pleasure to come out and meet you all. I'll keep looking for opportunities as they arise.

I do hope to visit again soon with the entire family.
