Working on getting it online again, sorry for the inconvenience. :P
Toadyaso. LAMP FTW. :)
Seriously, I have no idea what's wrong but I hope it's fixed fast!
Oh, no! Without their morning FTL fix, the most productive individuals in this country will spend their day in a fetal position crying...
Run for the hills, folks, the economy is on a verge of collapse! ::)
Damn, I didn't get to listen to FTL at work :(
Is there a mirror I could download from?
oh no, what will do i :( lol i hope you get it back up fast, what happened?
Damn windows servers.
I saw it go down last night. It forced me over here!
The best thing you can do is try searching for them on Gnutella or eDonkey.
I've been occasionally uploading the shows to the Conspiracy Central (http://www.conspiracycentral.net:6969/) BitTorrent tracker site, and from there they could have made it to other P2P networks. You have to do the free registration thing to download via CC. I stopped uploading there about a week ago, unfortunately, due to some weird HTTP timeout issue that now went away. I've pushed the most recent shows there just an hour ago, so those BitTorrent downloads will not be fast at first, but if you're patient they'll pick up eventually.
As a last resort, you can try downloading them here (http://www.alexlibman.com/ftl/). I hope the download speed from that HTTP server will be decent, but no guarantees. If someone can put up a more capable mirror, please do.
While I hope the FTL site returns soon, I'd like to welcome those of you redirected here. Please look around, participate if so inclined, and return often! :tiphat: :V:

ME too. I normally listen to FTL at work "via podcast". Today I am at home sick... now I don't have the shiny forum to comment in while I am listening . sigh....
Damn, my days are spent roaming the FTL boards. :P
Welcome, all my friends (and enemies) from the FTL board.
I hang out here a lot and I hope some of you decide to post here as well.
Yes, even you, Trademark :)
Damn,
looks like a lot of folks over at FTL haven't been here before. Welcome all, its always good to see other people are out there who are interested in liberty.
Hope that you get your FTL fix sooner rather than later, but this may be a good chance for all of you to check out sites, nhfree and others, that you've heard about but haven't made time to visit.
Man, first HoT and now FTL. come back soon! I need something to distract me from the misery of being an eagles fan!
I don't have a forum per se, but there's always some liberty hating government bureaucrat to argue with at Homeland Stupidity. :)

I was thinking before that we could combine these two boards.
There seems to be a LARGE amount of cross posting from the smaller membership of NHFREE users.
It would, at least, cut down on the number of open tabs in my firefox browser. ;)
FTL and NHFREE have two different demographics with only a moderate bit of intersection between them. It doesn't strike me as a good idea.

They certainly have a different feel.
I will rarely venture into the FTL forum. It reminds me of Free Republic (which isn't a compliment).
Kevin
Indeed. FTL has a LOT of people who haven't quite figured out this freedom and liberty thing yet.
This forum has far fewer of them, though there are still a couple I can think of offhand who post frequently.
QuoteIndeed. FTL has a LOT of people who haven't quite figured out this freedom and liberty thing yet.
thats what makes the ftl forum more interesting
That would also be why some people stick mainly to one or the other. Simply because that is where we feel most comfortable. I happen to like the FTL forum more because we "shoot the shit" so often. It's a bonus for me that people tend to be a bit more like ravenous wolves in the FTL forum. :P
I seriously hope no data gets permanently lost...
 :BangHead:
Anyway...
The FTL wiki (http://wiki.freetalklive.com/) and the NHFree wiki (http://www.soulawakenings.com/underground/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php) are also quite different, right? Otherwise, could be a benefit to merging them. Some of the wiki growth factors are exponential, so fragmenting into several wikis results in lower total content growth.
I've seen few on either board who have a total grasp on the freedom and liberty thing, mainly because of their views on property
I'm very sad. I was so looking forward to perusing after work today. Now I'm here. It's weird not to be the moderatrix and have 9000 posts :o

But isn't that the point of threads?
Simple terms: I likey FTL forum because people there relaxed okey?
If you can't have fun while discussing serious topics why bother? I like to see some of the jokes and fun bleed over to the more serious topics and the same for the opposite.
Who says we aren't relaxed and fun over here! :angryfire: :protest: :icon_biggrin:
Combining these two places is a horrid idea. Sometimes different things meld well together, but I do not think this is one of those times.

Have you signed the First 1000 (http://www.pledgebank.com/first1000)? Go do it now!
Do you have a link for that? Because I'm thinking about Troy.
OMG I just realized HoT "offline for upgrades" and FTL site shut down. I think the DHS did this to combat the message that they were spreading. It's the newest conspiracy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for the Alex Jones movie to come out about this conspiracy :o
Keene Population Info from Wikipedia:
Quote
In the city the population was spread out with 19.6% under the age of 18, 18.9% from 18 to 24, 24.7% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 15.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 88.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 83.8 males.
Plenty of opportunities abound! 8)
I wouldn't make hot girls that want to go on dates the deciding factor between here and FTL. Unless I missed something, there are very few or no girls that are hot and willing to go out on dates on our BBS.
Also...
I've watched Days of Our Lives for 13 years now. Yes, I was six. My 14 year old cousin spent the summer with us and forced me to watch it daily. I've been addicted since.
And...
I almost didn't bother signing up here either, since I have no plans to move to New Hampshire any time in the near future.

Grafton, where a bunch of dudes live:
In the town the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 6.5% from 18 to 24, 31.5% from 25 to 44, 26.9% from 45 to 64, and 10.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years.
For every 100 females there were 111.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 103.1 males.
Yeah like I said... I like the pene mainly. I'm not willing to fight over girls, so I don't have the same "libertarian girl" problem. HELL I'm going to grafton haha.

Haha, the government has taken a different approach, at least with my site (http://www.homelandstupidity.us/): Government bureaucrats openly participate and leave vicious pro-tyranny comments.
Error I'm already signed up for the first 1000. I'm probably going without my wife. After voting WITH ME, and three years later she just can't get it. Life pre-scripted and safe is her design, life gently but overtly kicking government ass is mine.
No one is safe so long as government exists.
They may be looking the other way today, but they can rip up your wife's script anytime they feel like it and turn the guns on her.
What is HOT?
Me and my wife are talking about moving, I have been thinking a lot about the FSP.
I don't know though. I think she'd go with me, but I don't think we would be happy there.
Part of the reason that we want to move out of Indiana is that we both hate the winters here.
If the FSP was in Arizona or New Mexico, I'd probably already be there.
If I had a slightly more stable and established existence, I'd probably do it.

I don't know what his non-windows experience is. It was running windows. :o
All I know is I would never run a serious web site, from which I intended to make money, on Windows. And if I don't know something I need to know, then I go learn it fast.
And while I've had outages, they've measured in minutes, and rarely hours, (e.g. when a third-party provider fails (http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2006/10/27/homeland-stupidity-unscheduled-downtime/)) but never days.

Raid 5 has the disadvatage of slow writes to the disks. I would suguest that it should use RAID 1 or Raid 10. Raid 10 is a bit expensive because to do RAID 10 you need a minimum of 4 disks. Raid 1 is mirroring so you need only 2 disks. I would also like to warn that I would not use windows to perform the Raid the performance of the OS will suffer. You can pick up some hardware Raid for a fairly low cost.
Well, maybe not, as this happened as a result of the system getting corrupted, so no amount of RAID would have been the solution.
Torgo and I will be discussing server redundancy later today.
