Yes, by going to a gun show and buying guns. :)
I would welcome the discussion of a Constitutional Amendment...
Good frickin' luck passing it. ;D ;D ;D
Arguably, a repeal of the Second Amendment would render the entire Constitution void, as the first ten amendments were a necessary prerequisite to get the document ratified in the first place.
And what do they hope to accomplish with a repeal? Make it possible for the federal government to require background checks for firearm purchase without violating the Constitution, maybe?
Another way to think about it is to consider the legitimacy of a repeal of the First Amendment - would that mean we no longer had the right to criticize the government? Far too many people have the Constitution completely backwards.
No, they want to round up everyone's guns, so that only they can have them.

Yea the constitution would be void and the legislators would keep on passing laws. Actually in my eyes the constitution was void the second government expanded beyond the boundaries that the constitution placed.
The Constitution might have been a good idea, but it can never be said that it was ever legitimate (http://www.lysanderspooner.org/notreason.htm).
Hey, if they repeal the second amendment, at least they're finally fessing up as to their overall intent.
Not that it makes any difference to the brainwashed-at-large populace. :P
And yes... that's a bit harsh and generalized, but the martinis have to have their say sometimes....

Yup these people do wonders for the gun lobbies and gun industry every time they open their mouths.
Speaking of which, here is the DiPrete schedule for 2007:

"The framers of the Constitution saw the right to bear and use arms as a check against an unruly government. That state of affairs no longer exists."

Since we havn't had a revolution every 25 years (like Jefferson suggested) the people of the US have already abandoned the 2nd amendment. We should have had one during prohibition, that would have really let the Feds know who is boss.
