Just a wild thought on the ED Brown thing.

Suppose you have two Elderly people who don't show up for their arrest.

They go home, you are a gov. agency with lots  toys and training.
Even if right away there are a couple of other people in the house, you wait till their in one general area. use a couple flash bangs swarm in and overwhelm them.

90 percent chance you don't have to fire a shot and if you do,well
it can always be explained  away, after all they are known fugitives resisting arrest.

Would they be that worried about bad press that they would not do this?

I don't know but suppose you think that you could get some supporters of these tax nuts off the board too.

Say some group that has said it will violently oppose you. Some ranger group.
Give them enough rope to hang themselves, have them break "serious" laws that will lead to serious jail time.

Maybe you would try that.

While you are, to your delight some other folks who are just a pain in your
ass. Not violent, but a pain and they look to be so far into the future, show
up.

Right now they are annoying but you can't do much but throw them in jail for a few days or weeks.
But  hey if they can be grouped into the rest and get big jail time, well
bonus, plus it will scare the rest of those freedom pains into line.

Just a thought.

we are condemned to live in interesting times.

all the more reason to make noise regarding these first arrests...

when they came for the unpopular no one said anything

then they came for the somewhat unpopular, same drill.

then the half popular, all's quiet

then they come for you and there's no one left to speak up.

I had to read that 4 times to get the thought.  Still not sure I have it.

Do you mean to say:

The feds will grab a big handful of Brown supporters, some violent, some non-violent, and charge them all with violating anti-gun laws?

Braddogg

Right.  The charge wasn't for thinking Ed Brown is doing the right thing.  The charge was for bringing Ed Brown guns, providing material support for a fugitive of justice.

No that the feds will grab a bunch of brown supporters and charge them with aiding, a fugitive.

That they might have not arrested Ed at first to draw out, the Ranger folk.

Everyone else they can charge legit or not is a bonus for them.

From what I gather watching ed and elaine, and reading what they've written, it seems to me the Constitution Rangers are too well versed in Common Law and the Constitution to be caught in a situation where they are breaking any Constitutional Law.
Also from what I can tell ed and elaine have spent a good amount of time shedding the contractual agreements with the "government" which block one from using Common Law arguments in court.  Ed and Elaine no longer dwell under the tyranny of the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) which those who sign "government" contracts dwell under.
I guess all I'm saying is I doubt they'll break any actual laws, being that the Rangers' purpose is to expose those who don't follow the constitution, the only just law of the land.
Of course, mercenary government kill-bots don't make any distinction between constitutional law and admiralty law, or just orders.
their law changes according to those orders or to their whim...

just my two cents

I wanted to say also since this is my first post:
hello to everyone...  looks like you've got a good thing going here.  can't believe I hadn't found this place until today...  I am from California, but I care greatly what happens with ed and elaine as it sets the precedent for me.  I've been a tax protester since I was able to pay taxes (for almost twenty years), as in I've never filed income tax or signed government forms besides mandatory with-holding forms to get employment.  I've now worked those out of my life as well.
I abhor government and authority, and will never trust it.  I learned much about our law so that I may introduce myself wherever I go with confidence as a sovereign master of all my property, not as mere chattel to a corporation posing as a government, using official sounding terms like "Code" or "Federal" or "Association" or "Citizen."
good day all.
