Actually the song by Lennon "Happiness is a Warm Gun" has been interpeted by many to be in about a hypodermic needle filled with warmed (cooked) heroin. John and Yoko were both bigtime users at the time.

"when I hold you in my arms and I feel my finger on your trigger..I know no one can do me no harm"

"I need a fix cuz I'm goin' down"

Quote from: EJinCT on October 13, 2007, 10:10 AM NHFTI can live w/o love, can't say the same for sustenance and shelter.

Is a life without love truly living though?

A world without love is what some religous folks call hell. For me personally, my beliefs are based that there is no heaven nor a hell. IMO, heaven and hell could exist right here on earth. I do believe in a Creator and I believe love is the driving force of all creation. Some people choose to ignore love which is always all around us. So many little things people do on a daily basis are acts of love but some folks never take the time to realize the basis of it. I can only wish more people will open their minds, and start listening to their sixth sense, the heart.

Some of the worlds most beautiful experiences are not seen with the eyes nor heard with the ears but felt only with the heart.

I am unsure of the author..it may have been Chief Seattle.

John Lennon, great last name for a socialist.
Imagine theres no borders!    Yup, John Lennon, "bring it all down man"!
Great idea, but the people that will fill the vacuume will be worse than the last ones.
How about the WHO, "meet the old boss, same as the old boss".

I like John Lennon. I also think he was right on target with his "love" themes. Sometimes I wear John Lennon sunglasses to memorialize him. Also, I think maybe attractive young ladies might mistake me for him.  :) I don't see how attacking the memory of John Lennon will bring anyone more freedom, love, or any other good stuff.

We're playing those mind games together,
Pushing barriers, planting seeds,
Playing the mind guerilla,
Chanting the Mantra peace on earth,
We all been playing mind games forever,
Some kinda druid dudes lifting the veil.
Doing the mind guerilla,
Some call it the search for the grail,
Love is the answer and you know that for sure,
Love is flower you got to let it, you got to let it grow,
So keep on playing those mind games together,
Faith in the future outta the now,
You just can't beat on those mind guerillas,
Absolute elsewhere in the stones of your mind,
Yeah we're playing those mind games forever,
Projecting our images in space and in time,
Yes is the answer and you know that for sure,
Yes is the surrender you got to let it, you got to let it go,
So keep on playing those mind games together,
Doing the ritual dance in the sun,
Millions of mind guerrillas,
Putting their soul power to the karmic wheel,
Keep on playing those mind games forever,
Raising the spirit of peace and love, not war,
(I want you to make love, not war, I know you've heard it before)
