Author Ken MacLeod

Has anyone ever read his work?
On the Wikipedia page it states that he is a bit libertarian and anarcho-capitalist.
I was wondering if anyone had any insight as to whether it's worth reading or not.

I tried reading Cosmonaut Keep once but put it down after 50 pages or so.  I found MacLeod to be too hip, or punk, or something.  Maybe if you like Neal Stephenson (I don't) you'd like MacLeod.

I prefer authors like Frank Herbert and Poul Anderson.
