I don't normally use Ask.com but I found out it now has a new feature.  It's called AskEraser.  Apparently, if you enable this feature (it's on the top right of the ask.com home page), Ask.com will not store your online search queries in any database.  They will automatically delete your IP address, query, and user/session IDs.  They've created this for privacy advocates who are worried about their online searches being stored . . . and possibly being leaked to the public like AOL did:

That's a cool idea.  I've never heard of that before.

I got fed up with Goodsearch because they kept losing my settings. I'd go there and realize that The Free State Project wasn't in there anymore as the recipient of my searches.  >:( I have no idea how long it was lasting.

I sure hope ask.com has improved since the AskJeeves days.  Back then, you could type "What the is mass of the Sun?" and it would come back with pizza recipes and articles about ancient Rome.

How do you check?  I went to their homepage, but didn't see how to check to ensure the fsp is my recipient.   :(
