Bailout plan rejected

I remember a Lindsey from my short stay at the FTL forum.

I regret to inform you that I am, in fact, the very same woman.  Unless of course, you liked me.  Then congratulations, I'm here. 

I'm sort of confused as to why so many people are for this plan (other than the fact that they're idiots).  I mean, do they think it's going to work like magic, and instantly things will be GREAT?  If it does ANYTHING, in the short term (a few years) things might get better, but in a decade or two, we'll have dug ourselves an even deeper hole.  An abyss, if you will.
