I've been trying to buy platinum bullion coins recently and have found it almost impossible.  I'm starting to wonder why the price isn't shooting through the moon.  My usual supplier has none and has no idea when he'll be able to get any.

Does anybody here know where I could get 1oz American Platinum Eagles at a reasonable price?

Platinum is an industrial metal... since it wasn't listed in the US Constitution under State tender restrictions, many people don't hold it.
Gold and silver are trading with quite a crisis hedge. Though one could argue the price of crude is maybe too low... the relative price of gold without a crisis hedge would be around $315 based on the current crude price.
