I'm sure this has been brough up, but a comment on the FSP forums made me wonder if it's been looked into.

When someone suggested taking spy cameras into the courts, the response was "sounds like a good way to become a convicted felon and serve some hard time".

What felony are they talking about? From what I've heard some people argue the wiretapping law, but from what I gather that's pretty ambiguous. For the people who've looked into it, what are the practical remifications of recording court preceedings via so-called spy camera?

Is there a generic offense of sneaking, 'prohibited items' into fed court? Wiretapping in that case is questionable, especially if anything in the courthouse, such as security cams, or the proceedings themselves are already audio recorded.
