NASA video demonstrates why government bureacracy == incompetence

Some NASA people working to try to make the organization more effective, put together a video. Wayne Hale, one of the NASA top managers, put it on his blog. He freely admits the truth of it.

It's a worthwhile video for everyone to watch. I certainly have fallen into a lot of these traps myself, mostly out of a desire to avoid more work. The problem is that in any tax-funded highly-regulated bureacracy, the incentives exist to exacerbate the problems, and there's no controlling factors such as going out of business for nonperformance. If it wasn't highly regulated but was still taxpayer funded, then it would become more corrupt, and even worse for the taxpayers.

The video demonstrates why government is inherently inefficient; if only one has a little background knowlege of the incentives that bureacracies operate under.
