Getting a NH Driver's License

I've checked over the NH DVM site, which I don't exactly trust to give me minimalism and creativity, but basically it says that in order to get a driver's license, I need to present my birth certificate, marriage license (to prove name change) and a utility bill, NH Valid Registration (Vehicle registration, like the one that says I need a NH Driver's License?) or a Town Clerk Notice of Residency Acceptance.

So, what is REALLY needed to get a NH Driver's License?

Also, say that someone were a full time RVer always in-state with no directly connected utilities, how would one get the government to give them papers?

Do you have a lease for the land the RV is on? Or maybe a property tax bill if you own it?

No. One of three scenarios would play out.

1.) I'd rent the use of land from a Porc.
2.) I'd be mobile, meaning "no land"
3.) I'd be renting from a campground which would still impart no ownership.

It's been eight years since I went through the process but I don't recall it being difficult at all.  My wife and I closed on our house in the morning and by lunch time we had our NH vehicle registrations and drivers licenses.  The key to doing so was setting up some mail (bills mostly) to arrive at the house by then.  If I recall correctly it was a gas bill for our prior residence (delivered by mail) and a paycheck from my employer (which was hand delivered at work but showed my new address).  Once we had those we took our out of state licenses and registrations to town hall and registered our cars.  Once that was done we took our new registrations and out of state licenses to the local NH DMV office and used those to get NH drivers licenses.

The biggest pain for me getting mine was that they didn't accept a photocopy of my birth certificate. I had to send a notarized form back to MN to get an official copy of it. It all cost me an extra $20 or so.

Of course none of it would have been all that hard to fake. Also, none of it indicates anything other than 'this person' desires to pretend they are 'this identity'.

Rent the land, and get a signed affidavit from the owner, saying that you rent from him?

Alternately, get some mail sent to you at that address, and use the mail as proof of residency.

Those are some options, anyway...

Okay, cool. That makes sense, which is exactly why I was afraid it wouldn't satisfy the "requirements" or random bureaucrats.

right before I got married, I had my wife write a letter to the Town Clerk that I was indeed residing in her house, so the Town Clerk gave me a certificate of residency of some sort, and I registered to vote, them I went to the RMV with my MA drivers license, the stuff from the town clerk, by birth certificate, and a hundred bucks or so later I had most of my CDL moved to a NH license.

It wasn't that big a hassle, except for having to get finger printed and a background check and a 100 question test to get my Haz Mat... and 18 months later I still have not gone to the feds and let them do the anal probe background check.

I'm surprised they didn't ask to see a social security card. Hellinois does.
