New proposed firearms law in Illinois.  Looks like they want to require gun owners to get a $1,000,000 in liability insurance, or risk losing their FOID cards forever and thus become felons.

Good question, I'm thinking the writer mixed up the voters card and FOID card.  Remember owning a firearm without a FOID card makes your felon in Illinois. Another article I saw said they might just confiscate your firearms.  I am thinking that this would kind of hard to implement.  My thinking is that if an incident did happened, and you didn't have the insurance then they would probably take your FOID and prosecute you for that.
