Lloyd's Blog! The Waiting Is Over!

I have never given a moments thought to boring my friends with a Blog.  I have my moments, but, I could not consistently come up with the funny stuff that.....say...as an example...Sandy does.
Some of you may have heard and of course all of my relatives know I had a rather 'checkered' time in the US Army from March of 1968 until July of 1971.
I filled in that time with 20 months AWOL, 11 months in Jail and 9 months 'good time', about 2 months of which I can account for. Over the 40 months between 'goodtime' and incarcerations  I was a Hippy in Maine, making the most of the Sex, Drugs and, (Hold the) Rock and Roll! that defined Hippy Hood. I became a libertarian and met a lot of interesting people. I had as much fun as a neophyte, wanted in 50 states and all of the territories could have. While in Military control I was served an Article 14, a minor Batallion level punishment, a Summary Court Martial and a General Court Martial. I was sentenced to a Bad Conduct Discharge and a Congressional investigation was held in my case by Senator Edmund Brooke.
My favorite niece has recently been on my case:p to supply at least an outline of my experiences. When I was experiencing the above and for a while after I was planning a book. I was going to expose those Bastards! I was going to let the world know what they did to me!
Once in a when I couldn't put procrastination off any longer(I love that phrase!) I would write something from my memory. As time went on, the Ordeal/Adventure was a smaller percentage of my life and I lost my anger and saw what a(sorta) Greek Comedy the whole thing was. The book idea came into my head again in the early 90's.  I figured that my Army experience was unique. A War Story without actually getting to close to the war!  Think 'Baby Boomer Hemingway'.
Anyway, There's probably never going to be a book, but, I wrote some stuff. I wrote separate things like chapters about the more memorable events which, of course, write themselves!  At least after you have played them around in your mind a bunch of times. So, because I have not written some of the glue that connects these 'chapters' they are sort of like vignettes. I may write some fresh glue.
Oh.  In spite of having owned about 4 word processors since I wrote this stuff, only a couple of chapters have been typed out.  I'm going to add them to the blog as I type and/or compose them.  My niece will just have to wait and so will you.
