There is no clear violation of the NAP or something like that going on here, though you can find plenty of connections with Google's lobbying efforts to maintain unfair advantages in the marketplace like supporting the inappropriately named "Net Neutrality". With those unfair advantages to maintain their status, they can get away with giving poorer service and a model less based on providing what customers actually want. Regardless, I think this video is at least a good analogy for the difference between a more free market economy and an economy dominated by corporatism.
