Hampton government officials are a bunch of assholes.  Yes I know that they all are, but these ones in particular have a real problem with liberty lovers.  I seem to remember several residents complaining that the NHLA gold sheet mailer was "evil propaganda" and that they were 'instructing their elected officials' to 'arrest' people involved with them.

So much for that.  Hampton has a beautiful beach, and very ugly people who live in it.  From rent-a-cops in the summer to their socialist town government. . . it's a big thing dragging that town down.
