Got my first speeding ticket in MA

I got my first speeding ticket in MA yesterday.
I had pulled over because my door was open, closed it, and then went back on the highway and made my way to the third lane. Some black car was tailgating me, so I sped up and found out the black car was an unmarked police car.
So, I spent all of last night reading about tickets in MA, and figured I'd try to do some of the following.
* request a court hearing, show up, be found guilty, appeal & offer to pay $20 appeal cost later, get an extension, show up for court date, pay the $20, find cop missing.

or if cop is not missing, try to point out that what I got pulled over for: 90/17, states that I can be going as much as 50 over on that highway without being responsible for speeding. At least, I think that's what it is saying.

I don't know if it matters, but my name is misspelled, zip code is wrong (cop wrote: 3250) and he did not tell me to sign the ticket (and I didn't).

any suggestions?
