For those of you currently using this service, please be aware that I have received no contributions for its expenses for several months, and if this state of affairs continues I will have to shut it down. I can, unfortunately, no longer afford to subsidize your phone lines.

If you wish to contribute to keeping this service up and running, you can do so through www.porcupine411.com (make a note that it is for your line) or by handing me a stack of bills the next time you see me, as long as that is very soon. Service will be maintained for those who choose to contribute to its continuation.

If you do not wish to contribute, please make arrangements to switch your phone lines to another provider as soon as possible. Lines assigned to people who choose this option will be shut down as of May 15, if they have not already been switched to another provider or that process has not been started. If you have not contacted another provider by that time to start the migration process, you will lose your phone number and be unable to get it back.

I'm sorry this experiment isn't working out quite as I'd thought it would. I remain quite interested in ways we can use technology to benefit the cause of freedom as well as our individual personal benefit, and I will be trying new things in the future.

Did you get my yearly renewal a few weeks back?

I sent you an email a few days ago about signing up for VOIP. I was planning to pay for the service ahead of time. I didn't want free service. Would having a new paying subscriber help at all?

Error, I don't know if you're sending payment notices out to your clients, but that could help you get more money out of people.  I remembered to pay only because I set a calendar entry to remind me.

Shame on anyone who hasn't donated to error for services rendered!   >:(  Please set up a recurring paypal payment to him to help support his great service.  You can't get VOIP any cheaper elsewhere on the market!

I pay you every time I see you! ;D  I was carrying a stack of rounds with me thinking I would run into you.  The stack has dwindled. I'll get another stack or pay the eqiv. in FRNs from Porcfest 2008.

error

Ian, yes, I got your payment. Thanks!

And Lloyd, you'll definitely see me at Roger's if you show your face there. :D

If I can get set up with service soon, I'll be glad to give you like six months in advance or something if that would help. I'm eager to get it going and I'm generally pretty good about staying on top of payments. I eventually just started paying Jeremy for a year in advance for my web hosting and I pay him at the start of each year.

Error, I'm a former Verizon guy and very interested. Only problem is that I live across the river in VT.... pesky river....

error

Yes, but are you a current FairPoint guy? ;D just kidding.

slave_3646

Negative. I work for a contract mapping & engineering firm now.

Why, are you a current Fairpoint guy?

Error, when will you next be at the TapRoom? I have (for some time now had) some FRNs for you but have not seen you there for quite a while! Or are other arrangements preferred?

I can't receive calls.  A message says I am unavailable.  I can dial out.  Any suggestions?
