Boil Order?
This is Milford, MA, of course!

I would like to think that in New Hampshire this would be a Boil Request, Boil Desire........

Milford (AP)  -- A boil order issued to residents of Milford remains in effect after additional testing of the town's water supply came back positive for total coliform.

The test results received Thursday were based on testing done Wednesday.

Milford Water Co. officials had hoped that increasing the amount of chlorine in the water and taking a compromised water storage tank offline would eliminate the bacteria source.

The boil order was issued last weekend based on testing done August  5th.

Bottled water is being made available at the high school.

QuoteBack to the tap
As they pinch pennies and pay more attention to their carbon footprint, Americans' romance with store-bought water is on the wane. But is the stuff that comes out of the faucet actually safe to drink?

According to the article? Yes, it is!

QuoteSuccess in a bottle: NYC tap water
NEW YORK - Two teachers on their lunch break scanned a refrigerated shelf inside a Manhattan coffee shop lined with drink bottles: Naked Juice, Perrier, Smartwater, New York City tap water.

"Tap water?" said Alison Szeli, 26, picking up the clear plastic bottle with orange letters: "Tap'd NY. Purified New York City Tap Water."

She studied the description: "No glaciers were harmed in making this water." She compared prices: Smartwater cost $1.85. Tap'd NY was 35 cents less.
