Hi Dada!  :)

How far up north?

I know there is this place right up the road from where I live:

Seven restaurants in a town of under 900.  You should have no trouble finding a place to sit while you enjoy your mooseburger.  On the coast, some restaurants make us pick out our own lobsters.  Maybe a self-service restaurant in Pittsburg gives you your own rifle and skinning knife.

Wow, that sounds like my kind of place.   I'll have to check it out sometime, thanks!  :)

I love the flat bread pizza company in North Conway, they also have a restaurant in Portsmouth.

Tunga

THe Balsams in Dixville.

Polys Pancake parlor in Franconia.

obviously some of these are not fine dining but commended themselves to attention...

I've been to William Tell before and I love the atmosphere, it's very relaxing and quaint, that's probably my favorite thing.  As for the food, it's good but I think it is over-priced, however, if you like some unique entrees this place has them.  I think there is a menu on the website and they do, of course, have their specials.

I was just thinking of this place I love and it's very reasonably priced, it's called The Italian Farmhouse, (part of The Common Man chain).   It's usually quite busy though and not as peaceful as William Tell, but well worth a look.  I believe they have a website with a menu but I'm not sure.   I love the eggplant parmasean, the portion is ample and it cost $9.99.  They also have a free fresh bread bar with different dipping oils.  :)
