That is funny.  Aren't they always saying that nitrite/nitrates are always bad for you?  The frequent reversals: the so called healty fats that turn out unhealthy, alcohol, diet sodas, now nitrites/nitrates, i'm sure there is more, just can't think of em right now.  It is enough to make me wanna go back to my faith healing childhood religion.   ::)  I am quite confident that I went to the hospital as a kid less than  virtually any kid outside my immediate family that I know of.  (once for a broken arm).
