I m trying to build a personal library and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a book that helps identify wild edible and useful plants and mushrooms preferably native plants and fungi in NH.

I know some common plants but would like to expand my knowledge.

PassionatePantherr has classes on this subject now and then. Try contacting her.

I have one of this guy's books:

which has been very helpful.  We've gone out and picked a few things.  I love wintergreen in our smoothies.  In the summer we make sumac lemonade (but not poison sumac :) ).  There's various other weeds that we like to eat in smoothies also.

I also have Foraging New England by Tom Seymour, which I haven't used a lot yet.  Pretty pictures though :)

Oh, some freestaters to talk to in addition to Denise....MTPorcupine3 and Menno are both foragers.

And that sumac lemonade is awesome, Kat! :D
