The AltOrgs tour is helping with transportation to and lodging at SolarFest this year.

This page shows the details of how we can help you get there and sleep there.

We have 4 man (suitable really for 2) tents available to rent or share space in. SolarFest vendors have great food, but pricey. One of our touries might enterprise on cooking meals for our village in the camping area up the hill in the woods. We'll try to get the first space up the trail on the left like we had last year.

We're leaving early Friday morning - the pickup times will be put up on the tour details page above.

Bring a good camera, some raingear just in case, spending money, water, juice or other drinks (but not in glass bottles), a flashlight and a readiness to have a great time! SolarFest is a blast - I learn a lot every year in the workshops.

Got back from SolarFest to Keene 9ish last night after 3 days of great fun, learning, good food (thanks to Chris) and only a little rain! A couple of new technologies there, some new vendor contacts and lots of great tech advice from them. Some very good workshops on natural building (darn, I missed the one on timber-framing) and greeaaat music!

We learned of several other stops we should add to the tour and other workshops we should attend, esp. the Radical Urban Sustainability Training (RUST) in Albany. That'll all go up on the AltOrgs site throughout today and tomorrow.

So, keep in mind, if you want to find out how we can build our freedom network larger and meet a whole bunch of caring new friends, check out the Alternatives Organizations tour. We follow the Alternatives Communities strategy to build the movement and we provide transportation, lodging (usually) and logistics to people who just want to jump on the bus without having to figure out all the details - we take care of that for you.
