Quick clarification: I think the people making this decision are called "bureaucrats," not "politicos."  Surely there is a difference?

"bureaucrats" was to many letters to fit in the title of the post, so I went with politicos. 

Politicos just means "politicians" and the people making this decision are politicians, so I still think it fits.
