Bumping this old thread to life, because I just discovered an invaluable tool: BetterTouchTool.

One of the most serious complaints about the Magic Mouse is the inability to do a "center click", or assign a Cmd-Click to any of the gestures. In the age of tabbed browsers, that's how we all read forums and link aggregators: click on links to open them in new tabs behind the current set of tabs.

Yes, you can still hold the Cmd key while clicking with the Magic Mouse, which works just fine unless you're on the phone, trying to grab a bite to eat, sip a beverage, scratch an itch, or whatever else might make it inconvenient to keep both hands on the keyboard.

OH, and the new Magic Trackpad looks pretty cool. If they will release a matching 10-key pad, I would buy both of them (I really hate not having a 10-key pad on my keyboard). The Magic Trackpad could replace my Magic Mouse for most purposes, and would be totally worth the trade-off if I could gain 10-key function.
