the 2011 Shire Calendar

I'm in the works of creating a calendar of my photography in New Hampshire.  I've got several different places I'm looking into printing them for me and I've got just that many different pricepoints.

Why am I posting this here?  Couple reasons.  I took a while to even get into NH because money was always a problem, and finally we bought a place and got my feet in state.  Since then, my dreams of showing up at all kinds of events have been stifled somewhat by my decision to take Jaime off the market and get married.  Money has been tight, especially after our trip to Jared last week (and I don't mean Lobstah lol).  I've seen, when in NH, that the groups I really adore need time, energy, feet on the ground, and money.  While I have time and energy, road trips and money are always intertwined.

But that won't deter me from working to move into the agora, and at the same time work to get some of these groups a little bit of money in the process, where I can.

I'm creating a 12 month calendar, for your wall, with my photography on it.  I am hoping to include various set dates for events that are special to liberty lovers in NH.  I am hoping to include dates such as Porcupine Freedom Festival 2011, Burning Porc 2011, Liberty Forum, NHLA Dinner, LFOD, etc.  Of course, I know it might be a bit early to set dates for next year, but I'm opening it up to you out there to help me out.  Do you have a date set for your freedom loving events and want them included?  Can you think of any "this date in history" type of things like the first time a person was arrested for ____ ? 

I really liked the method I saw at Porcfest where people could choose what group or organization they wanted a portion of the proceeds to go to.  You can choose the NHLA if you're more politically inclined, CD Evolution if you're not, the Liberty Scholarship Fund, and Scholars Academy (provided these groups grant me permission)   

What I get out of it:  I'm not looking to make some huge profit, nor go into the poorhouse.  I'm looking to show off some of my work with the hopes that will draw potential customers buying mugs, mousepad, art, etc of their favorite calendar photo or one from the website. 

What You get out of it:  A quality calendar with events and historical facts that you would be more inclined to care about (Boxing Day:Canada might not be one of them)  You also get to have a picture of far off places in NH, sunrises that you'd have to be up at 4:50 to see, and natural wonders of the Shire world.

What the groups get out of it:  FUNDING to be used at their discretion, or help a child break free of government indoctrination.

I like the calendar idea   Burning porcupine should be July 8th-17th next year...the full moon is on the 14th.  I guess you should ask Russell, though.

the calendar is just about set!  Looking for any potential dates to put onto the calendar.  If you have one or more, set them up by posting here in this thread.

Preorders will be starting in the next couple of weeks.  Remember, a donation is included in the price and goes to great liberty organizations like the NHLA, Liberty Scholarship Fund, and CDEF.  As it stands each purchase will garner $5 donation per calendar (subject to change)  The calendar retails for $20 apiece and will be shipping in mid November in plenty of time for your holiday seasons!
